Offer made to Margarito by Williams Camp

I don't agree it was the same old Margo that we've seen for years. Following his man around the ring until he stopped him. He started slowly against Cotto as well. Williams looked to have gotten better and was sitting down on his shots more in the Quintana rematch. Williams is getting better IMO he's the younger fighter and still can learn new tricks Margo has peaked and will only get worse, especially with his style.

 

This fight will happen eventually unless Williams or Margarito get derailed, but I doubt it'll happen.
Margarito wants to beat De La Hoya first, and then I'm sure he'll unify the titles. Clottey vs Berto will happen. He'll fight the winner of that. Then, he'll fight Paul Williams.
Only thing I dislike is the fact he doesn't mention Paul williams name. Makes him look weak. I know his team probably doesn't want him to since there not ready to fight him yet, but why not just tell the public your plans? I'm sure paul Williams is in his plans.

 

What I'd like to see happen here:

Margo fight Hoya.
Cotto fight the winner of Mosley vs Mayorga
Williams fight Clottey
Berto fight Collazo or Quintana

I'd like to see Zab Judah fight Kelly Pavlik also.

 

Maybe it's because Williams had a better game plan for which I wasn't giving him credit for that Margo looked different from his bout with Cotto.

I just find that Williams is a freak of nature with his Height and weight drainage capabilities. It's totaly crazy he's able to drain that much. With his height and the weight class he fights at, it's almost an insurmountable advantage if he plays it right.

You don't see the point. Margo doesn't need Williams. Is Williams who needs Margo. He should not be making offers like his is the man. He should be praying so Margo gives him a chance to make money

 

Wrong. Williams had fights lined up with Pavlik and Winky Wright, both bigger names than Margarito, even now.

Williams as options, Maragarito does not, luckily for us fans though, Williams can safely make WW and he WANTS to prove he is the best in the division, so that there can actually be a WW champion.

 

How many people do you think Margo/DLH cn get into a Los Angeles Stadium. 35K, 45K, 60K???????? Even if he losses, he will be losin to another mexican. And Mexicans will have a new hero:thumbsup

 

I just don't undertstand! People always have to find a negative of the situation. The situation? Margarito has the best performance of his life and automatically people will give low blows to downgrade his value. Margarito has ducked 0 people! 0! As i read in a post, Top Rank owns Margarito. POLITRIKS PEOPLE! Do you honestly beleive Maragrito woud turn down 4 Mill? C'mon! He has punched his way to the top plain and simple. Lets give the guy credit where credit is due! And lets pray Boxing starts putting fights together that should be made. Take a good example from MMA, I hate to say that but the fights HAPPEN, PERIOD!

 

Winky is great fighter but never sell well. Pavlik is a very good option. Except for a little fact. He will absolutely destroy Paul Williams. If those fight are sooooo big, WHY IS HE AFTER A GUY HE ALREADY BEAT???????? THINK ABOUT IT.
Right now, as of today, Margarito is the hottest guy. I am talking business here. Anything can happen tomorrow. But that the way things are right now

 

Winky fight fell through because of an HBO data change I believe. Pavlik took the fight with B-Hop. That is why he isn't fighting either of those guys.

So he comes and challenges Margarito, who doesn't have a fight lined up, really why question why he is challenging Margarito. Margarito needs to fight Paul Williams so that he can become the WW champ, he isn't the man of the division yet. This way he would have a legit leg to stand on if he wanted to call Money May out of retirement.

 

You have a point. But this is the way it works. A fight with DLH. If ever happens. Will represent at least 7-8 millions to Antonio Margarito. Then he can fight Williams and even ask for more money. He might end up with 7-8 millions more. You add the numbers.
I mean, I am a Cotto fan. 100% Puerto Rican. And I can see why is Margarito doing this. I don't understand how some people can't see it.

 

Why do you all talk of an actual Margarito - De La Hoya fight, it is not happening. Oscar has a 99% chance of fighting Manny and he is probably 99% more likely to generate more money from a fight with the #1 P4P fighter in the world than again Margarito. You all need to let that dream and excuse for Margarito go.

Margarito just has a belt, he has to be the top contender in the division to be champ and that man is Paul Williams.
