before the kessler and wright fights i was picking hopkins to shut down calzaghe`s style and beat him.

after the fight i beleive calzaghe can now beat hopkins .

calzaghe showed me , even after all the time i have watched him , he is one of the best pure boxers if he wants to be in boxing .

forget all the falling in/shoe shine flurries/fighting on the inside.

calzaghe showed that when he wants to ,he is a great long fighter who can still throw at a huge tempo.

if team calzaghe devise a game plan of box and move/in and out/staying in range without running/jab/jab left cross /use his angles then calzaghe`s greater handspeed and footspeed will pose huge problems for hopkins as even with this style calzaghe still manged to let his hands go at a rate of 80 to 100 punches a round , he will negate bernard setting his usual traps, and force bernard to fight he does not want to fight.

now say hopkins up`s his workrate and fights at a high tempo for him like he did v tarver it is still going to be diffucult as 30 to 40 punches a round is actually a lot less than kessler was throwing v calzaghe .

    Glad I am not alone.

Calzaghe's reputation has been nothing short of ridiculous ever since he beat Jeff Lacey...at least here at ESB.

    It's ****ing hysterical!

    Both of you aren't alone....

Check out the ****-stick above who thinks Hopkins is getting stopped in 8 rounds :patsch

The Calslappy lovers are becoming even worse than the Klit-ites.

Calzaghe will win a wide decision in my opinion

Calzaghe by decision. Though I will be rooting for Hopkins to win, which wouldn't shock me in the slightest. I thought he had declined too much to beat Tarver and Wright.

You're assuming the Joe will be fighting a fight that you have already seen. Trust me, he won't. What you're forgetting is that Joe is an absolute master of adapting to an opponent's style. He usually does this within the first third of a fight. Against Hopkins Joe will adapt and fight accordingly. This is why he wins. get it? Of course. They (Enzo and Joe) don't go into the ring with a preset gameplan.

Of course, my vote in this poll goes to Joe. I think he'll win a convincing UD and put on a great display of pure boxing. Hopkins would never win against cazaghe, age is irrelevant. I'm not disrespecting Hopkins, I like him and always have done, but he is not, and never was, a fighter on Joe's level.

Calzaghe is the best boxer on the planet and the true home of boxing is the UK. Deal with it. ;)

Yes, but Joe's 'level' is all based on pure speculation basically because he's beaten 10 years worth of bums and 2 supposed decent fighters, 1 of which has been since proven to be garbage and the other one may or may not become a decent fighter.

Yet Hopkins 'never was' on Joes level

I'll go with JC by a comftable UD, although it won't be easy. But I think he will have too much speed and energy for B-Hop to handle.

Bernard's elbows and head would have been something to consider if he was prime.

But at this stage, he needs brassknuckles and a baseball bat.
