Are you being serious? Ruiz is just playing everybody, as soon as he starts fighting top ranked contenders he will start excessively holding again, he knows he could get away with it now because hes fighting d+ opposition.
I would like to see this subject laid to rest, though I know it won't. Ruiz is a tough, rugged, workmanlike fighter who to many people used to have a boring style. He's an easy target for a bored eastside web surfer. Ruiz will fight anybody, anytime, anywhere. That's a lot more than can be said about most current fighters.
One Thing I gotta say is that people are saying, once he fights a top contender. Last time I checked when he fought Valuev or Chagaev he didn't clinch excessively. I really hate it when people try to judge a boxer specially when they aren't one. One more thing I would like to point out is that nobody calls someone that beat them 10 years ago, when fighting him would do nothing for his carreer. There is a reason why Hopkins never fought that first guy he lost to again. It was senseless. Ruiz fighting Tua does nothing to increment hes stock, just because you guys think he should do it doesn't make it so. I don't hear all yall asking for Wlad to face Puritty again.
