I didn't really expect the headbut strategy from Ward - but it worked.

They did look like intentional butts....and definitely a lot of holding.

Kessler' problem is that he doesn't prepare for these kinds of fights.

 

yeah i thought kessler was better than that too. you can't honestly look at those butts and say they were intentional. ward gets off, gets low and out of the way, uses lateral movement, and gets inside where he can't be hit. sometimes heads clash when that happens. i didn't see a damn thing in that fight that i would say is "dirty".

Kessler blaming headbutts as if he wasn't getting his ass whooped without them. He was getting outboxed,outfought and outsmarted. Completly outclassed.

 

tell that to miguel cotto when he beat clottey despite getting head butted. kessler was getting beat to the punch and staggered all fight, WAYYYYY before the headbutt.
