Can anyone tell me the offical cards please. Never been up on boxrec at all. Seen as robin reid, mads larsen and david starie to name a few got blatantly robbed against ottke,i presume ottke was ahead. Gotta say though i had mundine up by a few rounds. Up until the ko ottke landed nothing on him. Mundine should of definetley stayed mixing it with the elite ot the division after this fight he was well able for beyer, catley, woodhall, reid at that point. Though he wouldn't of beaten calzaghe at any point or even come close to it.

Yes Mundine imo was doing very well in the first half of the fight but Ottke was coming on well from memory towards the end and i believe Ottke would have won if Mundines chin held out to go 12 albeit by close margin.

No he wasn't, that Boxrec comment's been there since they removed the official scores from Boxrec...dunno why they did it unless whoever did it is a Mundine nuthugger.

Remember he was docked 2 points for headbutting a few rounds earlier, so no way could he have been ahead, considering he was doing a lot of running in some rounds, to the extent that Ottke started appealing to the ref to make Mundine engage.

You may well be right IBM. I just took the BoxRec note on face value.

Honestly rewatch it & tell me what the **** Ottke did in the 1st 7 rds. I don't think he even landed a punch yet the judges did have him up on all scorecards from post fight reports. He did win rd 10 pretty impressive though............sorry Ash I couldn't help myself.

Mundine was definitely behind on the Judges cards...:deal

I remember posting the Official Scorecards on ESB... But they seem to have disappeared into the 5th Dimension:think

I still remember the fight very well. Though I wasn't scoring it at the time, I recall Mundine starting well but after the first 5 rounds it really felt like Ottke had worked Mundine out.
Regardless of the KO, by that stage Ottke was on his way to a win, unfortunately.

Mundine did fight extremely well though and him fading was more to do with inexperience than anything else. Damn, if he had half the bravado and courage he took to his early fights now he would have been a legit world champ for sure, though I agree he wouldn't ever have got past guys like Kessler and Calzaghe.

Mundine was also knocked out about the 8th too... he got hit with a big right hand in the corner and almost got dropped. Plus the 2 point headbutt deduction, plus all the running, and I think he was definately behind. Only just, but definately behind..
