got to agree. it was nice to see a guy disappointed the fight was stopped rather than relieved. i've got a lot of respect for the guy after seeing the shots he was getting hit with

As for the fight being stopped - Vitali was landing at will, starting to go for the huge shots to finish the job, Arreola had no pathway to victory here and when you're absolutely exhausted and a 6'8 behemoth is powering shots off of your skull, you're going to get severely ****ed up.

stop talking non-sense. arreola wanted to go on and the referee should have let him continue. the guy fought his heart out. He maybe has no skill, but going forward was his only way to beat vitali, so stop bullshitting he's not dumb. He landed shots on vitali's face too and I gave him 2 rounds, still up to the point of the stoppage Vitali was way ahead but looking at arreola constantly moving forward he might have some chances in the last two rounds. I though Vitali was tired as **** in round 8. so stop making it seem like it was easy, it wasn't. and i was a arreola hater.

Just what I said, too early. Just like with Michael Grant. ANytime we get a decent (let's be honest, the way Arreola fought tonight he beats Vit's last two opponents pretty easily) American heaveyweight they beat NO ONE and you throw them in. Chris needed 2-3 fights against gatekeeper competition (i.e. Tony Thompson, John Ruiz, those types) or an actual couple of elimination bouts (i.e. David Haye or Eddie Chambers) and then gone for either an older Vitali or Nikolay Valuev. This basically does ruin Chris, just like putting Michael Grant in with Lennox Lewis just b/c he beat ANdrew Gollotta (when A.G. quit) and got KTFO.

You really need to learn about boxing.

The fight was somewhat competitive for the first 8. The 9th, it was just starting to become a massacre. It was stopped at the right time for the right reasons.

Any fight that was stopped by the corner for mercy = easy win.

Its his first loss...Arreola isn't no b*tch kid, especially a whip from "Manhattan" or some yuppie. Arreola will move on from this. He's only 28....he has alot of boxing left, be realistic heere.

He got his head punched in, for 10 rounds against the guy with the heaviest hands (according to KO percentage) ever.

You think he's going to bounce back from this? That's funny.

Chris's eyes were starting to close shut, not sure how good his vision was. Not sure though, I thought his corner signaled a stop to the fight, not the ref. Arreola reminds me of Mercer, a come forward fighter with a good chin and punch. Even though he was heavy his cardio didn't look to bad. He'll live to fight another day, and he'll pose probs to anyone else that he fights.

A good win by the 38 year old Vitaly Klitschko . Arreola pressured him by coming forward causing Vitaly to work hard for the whole ten rounds it lasted. Vitaly's conditioning really paid off as he was able to maintain good endurance .

Hats off to the old guy.
