So much for being disjointed. We're steamrolling those filthy ****s! Gotta admire Issac's vision. He's spotting all the tired defenders, gaps, etc and is exploiting them with ease. Sutton is improving as well. Sandow...well, he's trying, I'll give him that. Hopefully they can go on with it in the 2nd.
South are playing well, there forwards are just bashing them, except that cat dave taylor. He doesn't like to play with the big boys in the middle of the ruck.
Taylor was alright. Nothing like we saw during the last half of last year, but still solid enough to keep up the momentum, etc. They dropped off a bit in the 2nd, but at least they still had the game under control like last week. Luke was great again, he'll go close to being hooker of the year this season. Sandow's still a passenger and isn't really offering much at all. One guy who has improved a lot this year is Champion. He's always been able to run a great line and find the gaps, but his defence this year has been superb. His technique is great, and he now seems to be able to read plays well too. It's nice to know that we can easily beat quality teams without our halves really firing. With a couple of relatively easy games coming up, we're well placed to make a good surge up the ladder.
Sandow is not up to first grade standard, It was a very fast game and nice and tough. South forward are imposing and there starting to firer. With that platform the forward are making, Sutton has time to control rest of the game.
Yes, Sandow just isn't pulling his weight for now. His kicking game can be good, or can be very ineffective. He needs to run the ball more, and draw men in before passing. Too often we'll see him pass too early and it'll even up a potential over lap that we had going. I'd get him to bulk up a bit so he has the confidence to challenge the line. That'd be a good start for him.
It was a good win, and a well deserved one. If you guys can regularly play like you did in the 2nd half for the full 80, you'll cause some damage.
another nice comeback win by the tigers, not quite the 2005 team but top 8 material for sure that said, our defence is easily the worst in the league
You guys have always been the "We'll score more than you" type of team as opposed to a well organized defensive unit. As a neutral viewer it's great to see teams like the titans play. Heritage round isn't far away, and Souths are getting well primed for a massive steam rolling and you ****s may just be the team we do it too. :yep Boppa, Issac Luke has been our best in every game this year. Last year Taylor only used him for 40-50 minutes per game and Luke wasn;t happy. Lang has given him a sniff at more game time and he's taken his chance and noones looked back. He's a playmaker and is keeping the beat going while our halves are still trying to find their groove. Souths are really coming along nicely, and next week we'll get Crocker back, and not long after that Ross, then Pettybourne. I really dont know where they're gunna put them all as our bench was good last night, though I reckon Jason Clark isnt really pulling his weight.
roosters smash souths, bulldogs smash roosters, souths smash bulldogs.who can predict what will happen this year.
Yeah, Cronulla will be in hangover mode now for the next 2 months. I'll pick Manly 13+ Stiff, the Roosters got lucky by drawing an underprepared Souths first up. When we play them later on in the season, we may just see Brian Smith apply the mercy rule and take his players off.
