Don't know about the rest of you, but I make the winner of Dychko vs. Joshua a huge underdog against the winner of Cammarelle vs. Medzhidov in the other semi.

All depends how the scoring is. Joshua won big tonight and looked alot better, but he was handily beat already.

If Joshua doesn't get sparked I favor him to win the gold.
But yes, in normal circumstances I agree with you on this IB! :good

Fairly satisfying day of action, even without Brits getting eliminated. :D

Cammarelle and Medzhidov certainly have the credentials, and have each fought and beat Joshua and Dychko, but Joshua and Dychko are young, up and coming guys who have grown since than, so you never know.

I'm a really big fan of Dychko, he has the perfect amateur style. Comes in pops off some punches, and then dashes back usually avoiding shots. I think Mejidov gets gold, Dychko gets silver

Joshua is sooo stiff. I don't think his handspeed is bad for a man his size, but his footwork is awful. Hopefully he stays am after the Olympics, he has a lot to work on before going pro. Still a good prospect though.

He can develop as a pro aswell. Its not like hell be out of the olympics and fighting the Klits. I reckon if he gets the gold/silver he turns pro. Theres money to be made from the exposure.

He was caught clean a good few timmes tonight and showed good punch resistence imo.

Dychko's fight with Medzhidov was very even and you could argue Dychko won imo. He seems to have improved on his tactics not relying on his footwork quite as much and punching technique with his hooks and uppercuts since then too.

Intbutt - either matchup is near 50/50 imo. Cammarelle already "lost" to Joshua in a close fight and Medzhidov's were close with both. Not sure how you can consider the Dychko/Joshua winner a huge underdog.

Based on their form so far in London. Although granted Cammarelle didn't look so hot against Arjaoui.
