    From what I've seen Sapiyev, Lomachenko or Usyk deserve that accolade.

    (for those new to Olympic Boxing, it's basically their version of a Conn Smythe - the p4p MVP)

    So Kazakhstan has won the Val Barker in 3 of the last 5 Olympics going back to 1996 with Jirov, Artayev and now Sapiyev. Saitov and Lomachenko being the other 2.

    Sapiyev was one of the classiest boxers of the whole tournament. He was the embodiment of the sweet science. Deserves Barker award and gold. A deserved win for Taylor too.
