sorry but i haven't seen any evidence that vic is slightly on the slide.

 

I picked Agbeko to beat Darchinyan.The reason I said that was because I saw Agbeko's right cross it's quick and I see the same here where Mares right splits that OPEN Guard of Darchinyan it'll land all night and then he'll back it up with a lovely left hook.Vic's open to the body shot which Mares is good at.He'll move left and Vic has fits with movements.The ingredients are there.The main thing in my analysis is Darchinyan OPEN guard.

Darchinyan by late TKO, somewhere in the 9th round. Mares looked good early on in the Perez fight but he started to back peddle and that was due to him feeling the pressure and solid power of Perez who is not in the same league as Vic in punching power.

I'm surprised that most in this thread picked Mares.

 

Vic by slow but brutal beatdown.

 

Vic's power does not appear to be as good as it was at the lower weights he fought at. Mares has a good chin, and I'm pretty sure he can take Vic's pressure down the stretch to win a UD.

Mares UD, possibly a late TKO but I'd edge towards it going the distance.

 

Mares by decision. Mares is a tough and resilient kid with enough pop and skills to take this one. Should be a competitive fight though
