I agree that Kessler now is better than Larsen was at his highest. But you must be kidding me? Do you really think that Larsen has shown any resemblance of his peak conditioning in his latest fights? For me it is quite obvious that he is not comitting to his punches as he used to, and is more comfortable fighting as the counterpuncher, where he in the "old days" was an agressor and a combination puncher.

Back in the days where Larsen and Kessler was sparring against eachother Larsen clearly was the better fighter. Kessler held his own, but still was being outhustled in sparring sessions most of the times!

I think he looked okay not too far from how he looked in the past, obviously he had some ring rust to get rid of. His problem as I see it, is he does too much feinting and not enough punching. Always looking to counter, but not pressing the action enough.

Maden, there is some truth to what you are saying, although I think it has to do with the quality of the opponents aswell. Appearently Sauerland has matched him harder than Palle did most of the time. I am not trying to take anything away from Mads, he is imo. a good fighter and I wish him the best. I just haven't seen the amazing skill in him, some of you have.

Well that is the case with every fighter out there, people rate fighters differently. No shame in that.

The problem with the present Larsen is that I think he has lost the inner fire. Back in the days Larsen went in the ring with anger and a killer instinct. Now after the long lay off he has become a family man, who in interviews talks about a life after boxing.

He showed a very convincing performance against Australian based Arab Nader Hamdan, but a quite lacklustre and mediocre one against Italian based Domenican Emiliano Cayetano who got schooled by Larsen ' s stable mate Karo Murat in his following outing to a ring.

Thanks for the info. Not looking good for Larsen. Even Sauerland may want another fighter against Bute if he thinks Larsen has no chance.

Larsen is a little bit past his prime.I doubt that he will beat Bute who isnt that outstanding either.

Sauerland is a capable promoter who ususally makes big fights happen for his boys. Larsen will get his shot.
Even Tsypko will get his shot at a world title.
His German rival Kohl isnt even able to provide media exposure for some of his outstanding top fighters.
Someone like Dzindziruk would be a big star if he had signed a contract with Sauerland instead.

I haven't seen enough of Tsypko to comment. However, Andrade isn't the most skilled but he hits like a ton of bricks and keeps coming. He reminds me of a giant MArgarito with the same chin.

Andrade can punch. The decisve question will be whether Tsypko is able to hold the forth for 12 long rounds or not.
Tsypko is a good counterboxer with a very telling jab.
Andrade vs Tsypko will be a very interesting clash of styles.
