Wouldn't trade 2nd for 16th mate - you're lucky there's no lower division for the Titans to get relegated to .

Beau Ryan is my least favourite tigers player. He does **** all and is no good under the high ball. He should bulk up and try for centre or something

Mate Lote is me favorite Tiger.

He's a Queenslander and he does the simple things and never mouths off.

    Him or Robbie Farrah.

Yeah Beau Ryan is very overated because of the footy show i feel. Then again he could go to Melbourne only for Belllamy to turn him into a 20 try scorer a year.

Lote is great and is a perfect fit at the tigers. He is a genuine star but always plays his heart out. Still saddens me that him and Tuiaki werent on either wing. That would have been awesome!

Tigs are letting Bryce and Liam Fulton go, Big mistake in my opinion, Gibbs is nothign flashy but when he isnt there you notice his absence in defence, especially up the middle

personally i cannot wait to see the back of Gibbs. He drops a lot of ball, is a complete hothead and gives away penalties, rarely makes line breaks

his only good point is that he throws a good offload in the tackle... Keith Galloway is the better prop IMO. Fulton is a good solid player week in and week out and has improved heaps in the past 2 years. Id bet these guys both end up at Penrith

Boyd to stay at Dragons :amen :partytime :grouphug :woot :blah :soccerred

Darius Boyd has provided St George Illawarra fans with hope he could remain in the red and white beyond 2011 with the star fullback revealing he has already agreed to a contract extension with the NRL premiers.

With Bennett having agreed to join Newcastle on a four-year deal from 2012, it was assumed the Dragons had given up any hope of retaining the Queensland and Australian representative.

Boyd followed Bennett from the Broncos to the Dragons, and it was believed he would either follow his longtime mentor to the Knights or return to Queensland with either Brisbane or Gold Coast.

But Boyd claimed extending his stay in Wollongong remained a realistic option.

"I did that (re-signed) at the start of the year, they offered me a contract going forward as well for the next few years," Boyd said on Wednesday.

Asked if the extension with the Dragons represented something of a fallback option if other deals fell through, Boyd said:

"Definitely not ... it's definitely an option still to stay.

"They've been a great club to me for two-and-a-half to three years now. A lot of the boys have been great, I love the area, I've really enjoyed my time. Either way, if I decide to leave it's going to be a hard decision."

Boyd's revelation represents a double bonus for Dragons fans, for even if he doesn't stay at the club his departure would leave plenty of room under the salary cap.

The Dragons were rumoured to be in the hunt for Manly whizkid Will Hopoate as a replacement for Boyd at fullback, but Hopoate stunned everyone by electing to undertake a two-year Mormon mission.

It is believed Boyd would have returned to the Broncos had Bennett agreed to go back to the club he built, but it is understood his desire to relocate to Newcastle is not as strong.

Boyd admitted parting company with Bennett would be difficult, but if the situation did arise, he hoped the two could maintain their bond.

    "I'd hope so," Boyd said.

"... if that was the situation I'd try to keep in contact and have a chat to him every now and then.

"He's really someone I can look to for some guidance in football and in terms of life as well.

"I owe him a lot in both aspects."

Asked when he would make a decision on his whereabouts beyond 2011, Boyd said:

"It's something I want to get (finalised) pretty soon and hopefully I can organise all that in the coming weeks."

 My brother inlaw and myself love watching that girl play cause he just has no impact whatsoever. There is Lote, Taniela, Utai and then there is Beau Ryan

Wade McKinnon is a weakling aswell but he is a natural footballer who compliments Benjis style.

Whenever someone signs with a new team because of the money, they ultimately make excuses and tell the media that the move isnt money motivated.
In this case, it's a pretty **** poor excuse from a nuffie jack in the box.

I'm so glad we missed out on signing him. He was playing good for a few weeks, but has now started playing like an ADHD slut again.

Parra shouldnt feel too ripped off though as Chris will put most of it back in the pokies at Parra Leagues.

I reckon this is the biggest waste of cash in league for ages. The Wests Leo Dynover signing comes to mind, and I can see this being an even bigger fail than that.

Too many people pray on Bennett's words. Alkthough he's the best coach by a mile, it doesnt mean his judgement is infallible. If he thought so highly of him, why didnt he try and sign him himself?

Dont go sucking your own **** just yet Ash.

Like I said about Bennett before, he's hardly going to come out and say "Nah, I dont want to stay in this shithole anymore. **** me off anywhere but here."

The guy is fishing for clubs, and if he comes across as desperate to leave St.George, then he'll be more affordable. He's simply keeping the fans happy while doing the best he can do to get the best contract he can.

For a guy that has such praise and understanding for Mundine's way or marketing himself, I thought you would have been on to this one Ash.

Can't blame him for following his mentor
