He is a good player... He was devastating at fullback when he replaced Harmichael **** (who was injured) back in 06.

Overrated players of all time would have to be Scott Prince atm isn't it? He played well in 05, and then like **** ever since.

Some may make a claim for Sutton, Anasta or any other underachieving half.

We all know how overhyped Beau Ryan is... The way the Channel 9 Commentators blow him on TV is sickening.

 

The word "overrated" is thrown around way too much (except in Kurt Gidley's case)

 

Agreed. Cept when they constantly talk a player up and he consistently plays like **** all season, for more than one season, is fair to be deemed "overrated".

 

You cant be serious? Only played well in 05?...He was Dally M halfback of the year last year and in outstanding form. He was terrific from 07-10.

 

Dave mead pretty much carried him throughout 2010.

hes rubbish puncher. it baffles me when i hear people raving about how good he is. Its like the kunt has cast some sort of spell on people.
Hes one of these guys that looks and acts the part so people just pretend hes good. Try and find footage of him passing before the line or putting someone else through a hole. you wont find it because it doesnt exist.
heres your typical hodges run.
amble on to the ball, step sideways five times without making a single foot in yardage, stick out palm and spend 20 seconds wrestling with a lone defender, eventually shrug defender off then succumb to the next tackle, (after this is done note the AMAZING total of four metres gained and listen to the commentators gush over his strength and athleticism), spend 20 seconds mouthing off at the marker while you complete the worlds slowest play the the ball then watch in horror as the next poor ******* has to hit it up into a defensive line packed tighter than a german safe.

i remember when tonga made him his ***** and the day after i had a workmate come in and say "how good is hodges!" :huh

Benji got let off, just like he should have in the first place. The guy he allegedly hit was a ****ing tool brain.

On another note, I hate Manly but Brett Stewart deserves an apology. They treated him like dirt before he was even in court and it isnt fair. He missed out on money, sponsorship etc and cost the team games in his abscense. Gallop needs to wake up to himself.

 

I'm very sorry about that, but some fellas are lucky, and some aint!
