Blacklock was a speed bump thats why he never got his chance,but great on his feet and had top vision to finish off,As with Merritt he's pretty solid in defence so not sure y he keeps getting brushed!!
Sandow is going to be a revelation in Blue and Gold, provided he keeps his head. I think Kearney will make sure he does.
Morts isnt a bad signing for us, his cheap,young and has some talent. I dont think he was used right at parra, and was used as a scapegoat, Parra was still **** even after they dropped him. I think with a good offseason and with a few try scorers around him he will do well. Parra relied too much on hayne when Morts was there. And to top it all off i heard Parra will be paying 50% of his pay till 2013. Decent signing, i think he will lift with this second chance.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Kearney may be a bit lost as a head coach. He 'rested' Mortimer and Parra won a game so Mortimer does not get another shot. I feel bad for the kid, he showed some loyalty to remain at Parra (who had developed him) and as soon as he tripped up there were no second chances. He's the second half back they've had in the last 5 years to have a phenomenal breakout debut season and then get the arse by the end of the second.
Good luck with him mate. As someone who's watched every Parra game for years, you'll soon see why he was let go.
