Inglis is looking in good shape, I still think he needs to shed a few more kilos though. I suspect a good season ahead for him.
would'nt have happened if ****in sterlo had just played for the mighty maroons instead of pratting on about having no ties to the big Q in 1980.
In no way comparable, Sterlo grew up in Wagga Wagga. If you wanna play the where they were born game we could take away 50% of your players. Inglis was born AND grew up in NSW
The birth thing goes both ways but not the growing up in one state and somehow qualifying for the other based on the fact you signed with a club that had a feeder side in Brisbane.
Where you play your first game of senior football has always been one of the main factors of which state someone plays for. I think Inglis did his final few years of school in Brisbane. I recall Craig Polla-Mounter deciding his allegiances were with NSW despite being born in Victoria and being schooled in Qld.
As an Eels fan you should wash your mouth out mentioning Craig Polla-Mounter :fire Did he actually play SOO or just declare an allegiance?
He did his senior year in Brisbane, but he had played senior games in Taree(?) or Dubbo(?) in NSW first. It's just a bit of a sham the system when it can be rorted so easily.
state of origin , origin = where you are born , sterlo could'nt take it back in 80 so they bent the rules for him , the selfish *****. then the super league war really bent the original origin rules to what they are now ie inglis , can already see in the future nationalised kiwis , fijians and new guineans playing soo after more elegibility rules have been bent even more.
How about douchebags changing allegiance? Gerard Beale played for the under 21 Australian side. And now decided that because he can't get a go in Aus team, played for New Zealand last year?? **** off.
the players should decide who they are aligned with. do you really want someone on your team whos heart isnt in it? having said that once you decide that should be it at both state and international level. can you imagine how much stronger the international game would be if the polynesians stayed put and didnt just wind up declaring themselves australian or kiwi.
