That pic wasn't from when we were booted out of the comp. It was taken after the club announced they extended Rhys wessers contract in 2010.
I've said it before & I'll say it again I'd rather remain a 100% unmerged, original. Untainted by Murdoch club than ever win another game, the integrity of a club like Souths is important to rugby league, more so than any of you brain dead boxing types realise
Im a panther man born and raised but still filthy they went with superleague..We lost Gould,Fittler and Matty sing from that..Along with a heap of respect.:deal
Untainted by Murdoch but owned by Rusty Just as well you'd prefer that over winning another game, because This content is protected have pretty much delivered to your low expectations :yep Stop trying to live in a past whose glory you continue to overrate simply because you've got fck all to be happy about today. You know why This content is protected never merged - cos no other team wanted to be aligned with them because they are the kiss of death
Part owned by a passionate supporter, i see nothing wrong with that, i as a member am also a part owner, every club will be privavtely owned in years to come, the ones who cant find a rich benefactor will be the ones that are seen as unnatractive to own I see Souths as more of a sporting organisation, they reflect my & sydneys life, they reflect what is good about sporting organisations in areas that have been traditionaly neglected, i know you, as a boofhead probably cant see past all the smoke & mirrors of the actual games but thats what i'd expect from people here, so no surprise I've got plenty to be happy about, i go to games most weeks in the footy season, apart from the usual frustrations that fans suffer i still readily enjoy my outings, i see past the games & recognise the big picture, my happiness doesnt simply revolve around results No team even came into the equation with merging, i'd suppose your club whoever they may be bent over for old Rupert & sold off any integrity they had, one of the greatest storys in Rugby Leagues 100+ years is Souths fighting back to be readmitted, i doubt any other club would garner so much support, it was the recognition that Souths are Rugby League, the only club with a heritage listing, meaning they are integral to the history & fabric of Sydney, no other club has or will be afforded that
blah blah blah LOL@Souffs haven't been able to keep hold of any of their good juniors going way back before the Superleague war. All your good players left to play at clubs that can win grand finals lulz LOL@Souffs No wonder you keep harping on about the past and the mighty glory etc. Funny, you're a Souths support (and part owner accordiong to you lulz) yet you live in the arse end of the Shire and try to make out you live the Rushcutters Bay lifestyle The vibe I get from you is one of much self-hatred. Lol@SouffsSup-poor-ters :yep
the vibe i get from you is you're not very intelligent atsch Rarely have i had the misfortune of reading such a nonsensical load of tripe "the arse end of the shire"?? :huh Every time i cop people putting down Souths it always reverts to petty jealousy & you're obviously no different
just got back from the eels tigers game. tigers looked good. good structure. i reckon utai is set for another big year too. i know its the first game but that ****en sandow is ganna be the bane of my existence this year.. from woeful to brilliant and back to woeful in 1 set sometimes in the same tackle.. funny comment i overheard. punter 1: 500,000 can you believe it?, we definately overpayed punter 2: i think theyre paying him by the kilo punter 1: i think were underpaying him then
I'm not really sure if Sandow will excel under Kearney. He was likely to unearth his attacking capabilities under Lang as Lang likes his team to play whats in front of them, rather than structured disciplined football. Lang also unearthed Preston Campbell, who has similar strengths to Sandow, and is also used better when he's playing freedom footy. Kearney to me, seems to love being a structured coach, yet doesnt buy the players to compliment his style. Perhaps the comittee have more of a reign over signings than he does, I dont know. But I'm not sure if it's gunna work out for him.
That aside, Souths have gone down 22-14 against the Warriors. Despite the loss, the Rabbitohs still managed to do enough to book their place in the Charity Shield showdown with [Insert drumroll]............... St George Illawarra. :happy
Lang didnt really unearth Preston, all he did was say "Preston wasn't too little to play in the halves" and let him have a fair go there.
Lang got the best out of Campbell. Got him a dally m medal when he was with the sharks. As soon as Lang left, Campbell faded into obscurity and found himself in reggies. Presto then followed Lang to penrith and found his old form again and won them a comp. A perfect emample of a free flowing creative player being rocks and diamonds under 2 different styles. Not saying it will definitely happen to sandow, but I can see where problems may occur if he fails to adapt.
