Dave's just about at the stage where he's going to slowly slump into obscurity.
Yeah, another season, then he'll have a year or two in the Super League, then he'll be ringing up Adrian Lam asking him to reel him into the gay porn business.

dont go being a pedant, 20 titles is 20 titles, i dont give a **** when all thse tin pot teams came in, half of them have merged & dont even exist anymore, some of them like Brisbane were ****ing country towns

Just because Souths have the history & the sustainability not to merge like all these other rabbles, you cant detract from being the dominant force in the history of Rugby League in Australia..:deal

You can't detract from the fact that they've been in the comp 40 years longer than most teams. I support Parramatta, in which I have told you numerous times are still teh same name. Same as Manly. Both teams in which are one of the leading teams in Premiership wins since 1950.

Just because Souths have been around 100 years doesn't mean they mean anything to the average supporter or anyone who values winning and success in the time they have been alive.

Dominant force in your eyes, as you are a fan. Noone else cares. Keep pedaling the bull**** if you must to make yourself feel better.

Ever since 1950 when the other teams came into being Souths have been awefully average at best... But cling to that "History" thats all you have mate.

we'll never get booted again, we shouldnt have in the first place, the bloke you all bent over for, that old American **** Murdoch, he's gone now :hey

Why would Rusty pull the plug, Souths are one of the only clubs actually trading at a profit :huh

I am looking forward to the charity shield, it signals the start of the footy season for me :good

Who knows what will happen round one, i'm no mind reader, however i'm confident of a good game & a good season

    since 1950 they've still won 9 :good

Of course they are the dominant team, club in the history of Rugby League, the records speak for themselves, the only club that could realistically catch us in my lifetime for premierships is our ******ed cousins, the Poosters

We're the only club that has had a government heritage listing bestowed on us, & an integral part of this fair city, both Historically & socially, detract from our greatness if you must but let it be shallow, because it is

When 80000 people marched down charmers street towards town hall i think they cared enough about Souths, reckon any other clubs would garner that kind of support??

I think that debunks that little theory ;)

    SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS
THE NATIONAL TRUST OF AUSTRALIA (NSW)
    COMMUNITY ICON 2008-09-03
    STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
South Sydney District Rugby League Football Club (the ‘Rabbitohs’) is culturally significant at both State and National level due to the high esteem by which it is regarded by Rugby League supporters throughout New South Wales, Australia and New Zealand. It is one of the founding members and the most successful club in the history of Rugby League in Australia, winning the first premiership game in 1908, and subsequently, winning a total of 20 first-grade premierships – more than any other club has ever won to date.

The value of the Rabbitohs to the community and their important contribution to the spirit of sport was clearly demonstrated on 12 November 2000, when an estimated 80,000 people marched from Redfern to Sydney Town Hall to protest against their expulsion from the National Rugby League. This rally, ensuing public campaigns and the massive groundswell of support from club supporters and the general public, are unprecedented in Australian sporting history.

The Rabbitohs have a long-standing relationship with the indigenous community, with strong links to their heartland at Redfern. The Rabbitohs’ emblem and the red and green colours on the club’s jersey are symbolic to the indigenous community and widely recognised throughout Australia.

The year 2008 is the Centenary of not only the game of Rugby League, but also of the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Celebrating their 100th birthday on 17 January 2008, the Rabbitohs serve as a fitting foundation National Trust Community Icon for their historical, sporting, social and cultural significance.
