He didnt have to try too hard for Sandow, he was touted to be Princes replacement up here then got sacked. Sandow was a gimme for any scout at the time. LOL@5ouFF$
So, Gold Coast sacked him knowing full well that he'd turn out to be an exciting halfback, but still sacked him because of disciplinary reasons, yet later on go on to sign Greg Bird, Myles, etc. Thats bull**** tekster. Hughes got him for peanuts as he was an unknown at the time. Also, I dont recall any other clubs being in the hunt for Sandow back then.
I think he was offloaded because he may have been a major player in the Coffs Harbour incident. Same as that young gun centre they had, short stocky bloke...he'd been there only 2 seasons and all of a sudden he left and went to the UK. He's back now playing for the Cowboys I think?
It's probably the biggest blunder in the last 20 years of rugby league. He was also squeezed out so they could bump up Braith Anasta's contract. Funny how that story turned out. :yep
So you admit it... You bent over, accepted mediocrity and rolled out the welcome mat, spread your hairy arse cheeks, and welcomed the cold hard news limited **** to pervert you?!:think
No bull**** at all. He had missed a tonne of training sessions and even turned up to a few drunk. Himself, Dave and Kevin Procter were all highly touted jnrs here at Tweed. Hughes didnt uncover anything, he just bought a prospect on peanuts as you say. Sloppy Titan seconds, no wonder you ****s cant win **** :deal LOL@5ouFF$
Glory glory to south sydney and what souths represented as a club doesnt have that feel anymore at all... They are exactly the same as thier eastern suburb rivals now....Silver spooners of the comp.
Earlier on you said he was being touted as Prince's replacement. So I guess the whole idea would have been to still have him in reggies now, and say perhaps the next 3 years until Prince retires? You yourself were laughing at me when Sandow had those lean years in 2009, 2010. Were saying to me, Titans got rid of him cos he was **** defender, etc. :huh
Yes there were many ppl touting him as Princes replacement but it doesnt mean he was going to replace him. He was a player identified to go on to bigger things, well before ole super scout Hugsey came into the picture **** defender and gambling drunk, characteristics identified well before ole Super Scout came into the picture :deal but hey you guys have a plethora of local jnrs you dont need to uncover anymore hidden gems north of the border :good
