i envy you... i have an odd stomach issue which means i feel full after only 3 beers and have to drink spirits or Corona 2 coopers and im like a poisoned pup
I gave up drinking for over 3 years. As soon as I arrived in Japan back in 2008 I went to a bar and I was half pissed after 2 beers. It still doesnt take me much to get drunk, and I'm happy with that. I dont really wanna be one of those guys that buy 12 beers and dont even feel tipsy. Waste of ****ing cash.
Funnily enough it was Corona I drank on Saturday :yep Felt good to be off the grog for that long, man the clarity of mind you get after a couple of weeks is awesome, and I found it easy to do - any time I went out during the 82 days I just drank coke and watched everyone else get sToOPid Saved a lot of money, didn't have any wasted days hungover to the shthouse, developed a great sleeping pattern, was training the house down, felt good overall.
i take a fair bit of **** to get there because of the age i started practicing... first got hammered at 13, not proud of it though i usually have half to 3/4 of a bottle of Bourbon before i go out, 1 or 2 beers and then southern and lemonade for the rest of the night i havent had a bender for a while, last time i did i spent $300 :-(
It's just too ridiculously expensive to go out nowdays. When I first came to Sydney, I could go out, get drunk and spend $40. Nowdays I'm looking at $140 for the night. Rip off capital of the world!
hard one to call, i'm sure the Tiges will be fired up, Matty johns didnt do Souths any favours calling them soft in public Word is Benji will play now, well according to Tuquiri, i just wonder how the league will view that going on how antsy they've been about lately with players aiming up with concusion etc Souths will have to be on their game, i'm sure we'll be fired up also & if they play like they did against Penrith they will win, i just keep thinking how desperate we are also & that makes me feel a little better, should be a good game
82 days.. thats a mighty effort mate, I had 6 days off about 3 weeks ago and thought i was the King of no booze,
Matty Johns put the challenge out to us before last weekend by labelling us mentally frail, and it proved to be right on the mark after last Friday. On current form, we should beat them as the Tigers are looking awful. But if any team can play another side back into form, it's us. :-(
Mate, it got easier as time wore on - like anything, breaking the habit is the hard part...once you've gone a couple of weeks you've done the hardest part - obviously not if you're an alcoholic but you know what I mean Thing is, you really notice just how much of our culture is based around drinking when you're on the wagon, if you can still go out to the local with your mates etc and just drink softies all night you're right.
Easy to break it - just go for a run or do some training - last thing you feel like after a good workout is a beer.
thumbsup an interview these days is like watching two guys read lines to eachother. Its gotten to the point where you know what the player is going to say before the question is finished. i thought both guys handled that very well and i love that johns asked what everyone is thinking
