Don't you dare. He was ****ing terrible at the Rabbittohs, and he's terrible at the Eels. Wish I could say he is a great player but he's always been crap.
:heyHe's always had terrible aspect to his game, one being his defence, the other being him over playing his hand. He had a good year in 2011, you guys wouldnt have paid half a mill, and guys like Gus wouldnt have said that he was worth it, etc if it wasnt the case. Sorry Eels mate, but while he has and always be a liability in defence, he at least showed a lot of spark and flamboyance in attack while he was at Souths. He proved a match winner many a time while the game was in the balance. He thrived from John Lang's game plan which was to play whats out in front of you, and not play a structured style of football. Kearneys style, along with the lack of quality around him on the park, was always going to be a big hurdle for him. I dont mind the Eels mate, and wish they came good. If it meant Sandow excelling over there resulting in my footy ego taking a swan dive, I'd take it. Give him forwards that go forward, and backs that are explosive, then you'll see a Sandow that everynow and then does great stuff after every 15 or so missed tackles.
Watced penny v tigers today. Feel for penrith...they havent got a squad with depth and can barely field a competitive team once hit with a few injuries. They havent scored a point in two games but have conceded 60. How cam newton holds his spot is beyond me. He plays wide, does nothing and is being carried by the other forwards. Honestly, they are playing with 12 men by having him out there.
Not that I think QLD would be fussed but Hayne is conveniently left out behind Boyd for the Aussie team leaving the NSW boys to have a Carney-Hayne 5/8 showdown in City Country. That's collusion to some extent isn't it? Anyway, once again today Hayne just shows that anyone who says he is overrated or not THAT good is making that conclusion on how he makes them feel at a gut level not on his skills and stature which are unbelievable. He's been on the field for 250 minutes this year and been the best player on the field for 200 of those. And I'm sorry Ippy, I'm an optimist but i can't see Sandow reversing this woeful form. He refuses to go at full pace, he's jogging or walking to the line he's just playing unbelievably poorly. Roberts is a brighter prospect if they can cut out the silly stuff, at least he has a go and Esi Tonga has to go, maybe willie's past it too. Maybe those three lads have pulled a variation of a Nigerian scam - a Cherbourg scam!
BTW - here is a great site for any Rugby League tragics - http://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/ Up to date winning percentages of players and coaches and much much more. Great if you like stats. For example: http://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/coaches/Stephen_Kearney/opposition_coaches.html
He was phenomenal today and he is only on one leg. At full fitness he is the best modern day outside back...big, tough, fast, skillful strong etc etc
People saying the panthers have injuries etc obviously have no idea that the tigers have some big names missing as well... we won 30 to nil without Heighington, Farah, Ellis etc Moltzen was fantastic under the high ball and had a super game
Shaun Johnson is incredible!!! So young but just amazing attacking the line. The fact that benji is @ 7 probably means Johnson doesn't play for nz which is mad when you see how good he is. What do you guys think about a few people and baderus talking about the nrl being too defence orientated compared to super league over here? I think his right in the sense super league is more open but we dont have the right balance as some of our sides defending is just pathetic and tries are too easily scored. I think something needs to be done @ the ruck area in the nrl. You have two refs yet players are allowed to lay on a downed player far too long which results in too many slow play the balls and defences getting set. Just quicken that up slightly and you would see a difference. About time tigers!!!
Im a Dragons fan but do any of you guys think they should bring a rule in discouraging kicking over the deadball line on purpose? Instead of a 20 metre tap make it from where it's kicked from if not within the opposition 20?
