Am I the only one that keeps getting confused with Ashton and Tariq Sims? I could have sworn that **** changed his name 3 times...
They're brothers, right? EDIT - just checked Wiki, there's 3 of em!! Aston, Tariq and Korbin, and they're Fijian (well, their mother is)...
Well i think the very last spot will be a toss up between Sims, Weyman, Woods, Galloway. But if i was picking i would pick someone with a bit more experience and toughness.
Doesn't matter where you want to play. It's where you are eligible to play. Ashton and Tariq in the same team, no wonder I get ****ing confused.
Just ridiculous, how could the bloke have any passion for QLD??? KORBIN Sims, the latest player embroiled in a State of Origin eligibility bunfight, says he has no regrets about pledging his allegiance to Queensland and was not influenced by Maroons mastercoach Mal Meninga. The youngest of the Sims brothers, NSW-born Korbin has come under fire for defecting to Queensland in a move that could see him one day square off at Origin level against elder sibling Tariq, a passionate Blue. The duo grew up in the NSW south coast town of Gerringong and while he has spent 16 of his 20 years south of the Tweed, Korbin surprised Cowboys star Tariq by pledging his future to the Maroons. A frustrated Meninga on Friday defended accusations Queensland had poached Greg Inglis and Sims, telling critics to "get over it". It was rumoured Sims withdrew from last night's Origin under-20s clash because he had backflipped on plans to play for Queensland, but the 104kg prop has been sidelined by a broken hand. Sims is a member of the Newcastle under-20 squad after an off-season move from the Broncos, whom he joined as a 16-year-old. "The decision was entirely mine. I wanted to take a new path in my career and I just decided to go for Queensland," Sims said. "I know how much love Queensland has for the game and that's one of the reasons I decided to go up there to play for the Broncos. "NSW are passionate as well but I have no regrets about my decision. "It doesn't bother me if people want to criticise me. No matter what they say I will be trying to represent Queensland. Gerringong will always be my home but I loved living in Queensland." The representative guidelines in place at the time paved the way for his decision. Korbin played his first senior game at 16 for Wests Panthers in Brisbane before turning out for Norths Devils, making him eligible for Queensland. While Tariq expressed his disappointment in Korbin's switch, the younger Sims is remaining loyal after representing Queensland at under-16s and 18s level.
stick to ya channel 9 junket job fittler cause your a ****en hopeless selector , sayin that half a game hayne should be kangaroo 5/8 ahead of the legend thurston is the most stupid idiotic moronic statement of all time .
That and Thursto isn't a very good 5/8th. He's a great halfback. He is only playing at 5/8th to satisfy not having Cooper Cronk change his play style as a halfback.
Wait up, Thurston got into halfback for alot of that game against the Kiwis. If the skinny kid playing centre for the dogs 10 years ago can make his way to where he is now then so can a one leg Hayne
Theres not much difference between halfback and 5/8's these days anyway (depending on how teams play).
