While I dont believe thast theres a conspiracy and certain teams get pre arranged leg ups during games, I do notice that theres a trend that mostly occurs with certain teams.
I used to see Manly get several 50/50 and some not so 50/50 calls go their way, and The Roosters also got their fair share of calls go their way. But you'll find that both those coaches (Hasler and Smith)will come out and bag the referee a lot when they play poorly, or when they might cop a bad call, etc, and that puts pressure on the referee's to not disgruntle certain parties and not put themselves under any more pressure.

It's a smart tactic by the coaches, as everyone acknowledges that refereeing is an impossible job. If certain coaches are more vocal about your mistakes, you tend to subconsciously give them some benefit in those 50/50 decisions.

 

Oh man, Broncos always got penalties, and never seemed to give many away, B would whine about grinding tackles etc yet his boys did it as well etc. Many 50/50's went their way. The same for the Dragons under B's reign, even worse than Broncos. I think we all remember the Gasnier try where he didn't even have the ball. And now seems to have gone to Newcastle.

 

I agree jt is a gun and will hopefully get a chance to prove it, a slight correction though - it was Hagan that they had signed. A guy who had already proved he couldn't coach a who unless the worlds best player was in his side. **** the Parra board

 

great win by the sharkies but it was a pretty uninspiring game. dont know what was up with melbourne today but they were a rabble. looked like theyd never played together at times.

I had my multi in my wallet and was on my way to collect - what a ****ed 2nd half watching those 2 miserable teams play :-(

Ben Creagh is the biggest waste of jit ever.. fair dinkum his mum shoula swallowed that night he was conceived... how he keeps getting picked for Origin is beyond me, he is joke of a player, People say Farah shouldn't play origin coz he isn't an "Origin PLayer" well **** me, im pretty sure he wouldnt run away like a cat if there was a stink on.
