Not surprised. Ruchie faaoso (??) smashed him on a mad monday or something? Tells you a bit about taylor more than faaoso...apparently taylor was teasing and jibing him.
You mean Dave Fa'alogo right? Yeah, Apparently Taylor was getting pretty drunk, mucking around and slapping some players. Not in an aggressive manner, but a bit silly nonetheless. An even dumber move when Taylor singled Fa'alogo out and abused him after a game. Perhaps the bad blood between them started there. Yeah. Although it was a bit over the top, it just goes to show you that the respect he had with the playing group was lost. Can you imagine a player taking a swing at someone like Bennett?! (at least not Darius Boyd). Though thats another coaching lesson Taylor should learn. Dont get too matey with the players. Mad Monday is supposed to be for the players. Most other coaches either stay for one drink then move on, or dont even go at all.
I always remember that incident as I used to live at Surry's and used to walk past the bar where that incident happened (Forresters) and every time I pass there it always makes me think of that mad Monday. I'm off now lads. Have been drinking since 6, and am now off to sample some Osaka night life. :hi:
Manu Vatevei :---( When is this chap going to be dropped? Tigers are lucky that he was playing last night. Just about to put a multi in Manly 13 plus, Dogs 13 plus, Dragons win, Cowboys 13 plus $20 = $780
very few players have walked the tightrope between brilliant and woeful like big manu has. hes the new brett finch.
He really is a ****ing conundrum. One play he is smashing ****s in his half and getting the ball back for his team, the next he can't even collect a ball rolling towards him... atsch I'm sure the greasy conditions didn't help, but he does it ofen.
Went out to Leichhardt Oval last night...good game, great little venue..Atmosphere was great but they ran out of beer!!!!!!!!! Picked up a tidy $230 on the game too.
You serious? Leichhardy Oval is a third world **** hole. An ant infested grand stand that wouldnt look out of place in Group 3 rugby league.
I stood with the peasants...Look it's not a ground that is viable for a first grade rugby league team..but I hadn't been before, I liked it..it was quite quaint.
It does have that old school feel about it, and does generate an atmosphere I guess. I'm a bit biased, because I've only been there twice, and both times I think we got beat by 50, and 44.
I had a bias coming into it...last game played there was one of the greatest injustices of modern times...but I found the Tigers fans quite jovial and good natured.
When you look at the Tigers, they could very easily have just 1 win. Aside from their hammering of Penrith, they've won by 1, 1, 1, and 2. My prediction is they'll hover around 7-8 for most of the season, string 4 wins together in great fashion at the end of the season and get tipped to win it again, then get drawn against Souths in the semi and do a 1909 repeat and not show up. :yep
