Yeah true Benji had a pretty bad run, but i reckon Burgess has him covered and its not like Burgess is a local boy, he is out here specifically to play for Souths. I feel for him and the club, coz when fit he is an awesome player

give it away??..the blokes only 23, & he's considered one of the best in the game, most front rowers donr even hit their peak until they're 25-30, i'm sure these injuries will settle down eventually

 

Well he should **** off back to England until they do... You as a Souths fan don't care that he is taking a mammoth chunk of your salary cap and pretty much sitting on the sidelines fiddling with his **** for half the season for the past few years??

I KNEW THIS WAS COMING!!! i even brought it up here somewhere about 2 weeks ago. hes just been far too quiet lately.

 

its a tough game, its not like he goes half hearted, you have to invest in some people good or bad, you cant see into the future, theres always a gamble involved

 

They'll struggle to find someone as good as Gallop

He would have been invaluable during the media broadcast rights negotiations with so much experience in the game plus being a succesful corporate lawyer & having worked for News Corp, hope these new boys can weather the storm






BTW....This weather is getting real, anyone North of the city (Sydney), batten down the hatches, its blowing a gale & pissing down in the south

 

People saying Burgess is a physical liability, but in the same breath pat Hodges and Tate on the back...

Burgess has just been unlucky. He is a fantastic player and any club would be lucky to have him. Even if he still played 2/3 the season, you would expect 18 games of hard playing and dedication/inspiration from the forwards.
