Birds last month of footy for the Titans along with Myles has been super. Both players winning MoM in the series so far.

Luke Lewis was gonna flog Hodges from what I recall, but Hodges scurried away as quick as possible.

I hope he finishes the job in 3 weeks.

Well Hodges has never started a blue unless he had 5 blokes with him. His last one on one was Grothe giving him a couple in the gob.

I honestly dont think Queensland lose much even if Slater is out. GI has been in great form at fullback and would replicate that at origin level.

I was a bit critical of Stewarts positioning and handling last night but his support play was brilliant, and it's just what we need. I just wish the coach would rotate him and Hayne a few times throughout the match, because Hayne's kick returns and beastly.

Aside from that, it wont happen, but I'd boot Uate for Morris. Morris (like his brother) is a much better defender and more reliable. Uate seems to be having a tough year, and like Sandow, needs to have confidence. Queensland got all their points from targeting Uate, and it'll only get worse in game 3.

I've been critical of Creagh in the past but he did put in some real good tackles last night. I thought Farrah would have got MOM, but hard to argue with Bird getting it.

Only criticism I have of last nights game is the Luke Lewis needs to be on for 60 min.

Luke Lewis couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag but u don't even need to throw a punch at hodges to scare him off.. Hodges is a typical bigmouth who runs unless he has a team behind him .

Anyone remember when casey McGuire dropped hodges when hodges played for the roosters .. Hodges chin is mundine like ..

Great win last night but I'm still alittle worried that NSw can dominate both games and only have a 4point win to show for it ..

Jesus as a Qld er NSW looked good for most of the game , really switched on and a metre quicker all over the paddock , Qld's attack only spluttered all night , half our backs looked and played on injured , 3 man bench for 2/3 rds of the game , 12 against 13 for 10 minutes in which 2 backs tries were scored against us but and its a big but , we had a real chance after looking beaten for most of the game to win it if Tatey can score . If the boys are ON at Lang Park in 3 weeks , will be a few phone calls to Qld bosses on thursday morning .

Didn't QLD have 55% possession as well? I think QLD showed alot of heart playing wounded, and a 100% fit team would have been much MUCH tougher.

Game 3, hopefully in dry conditions will make an awesome game, which I hope we can take the series and take a bit of pride in 2012.

Not really NRL related but I was with a mate tonight at PJs in drummoyne and he introduced me to one of the locals he is mates with who is Lloyd McDermott. I didnt know the name but he was the first koori to ever play for the Wallabies and also played league later in his career because the apartheid stopped him from touring with the union side. Pretty interesting fellow. Anyone know more about the guy? I think he only played a few tests but still. Man he was pissed, felt sorry for him. Ex wallaby and Ex barrister drunk as **** and barely able to stand
