bennett said when he won the comp that brown done alot of the ground work wiht the players it was just getting them mentally right, i would be inclined to say bennett is a good judge
Bennett is a ****stick who has been lucky to have been surrounded by great players in good teams, with good support/facilities. Newcastle has none of that and he looks like a ****ing idiot now. Its akin to saying Meninga is the greatest coach ever for winning 6 series wins, where in fact those are the best players around and 8-9 of them were carry overs from Hagan.
I reckon Brown is a good coach, or will prove to be in any case, just a gut feeling, he definately enetered the coaching ranks in Australia too soon after retiring, the stint overseas will have done him the world of good, he'll come back more mature & wont know any current players I know Taren Point Pub TAB wishes he'd come back sooner rather than later
i think the truth is somewhere in between. bennetts magic works, it just takes time. once he forms a bond with his players and works out who needs their ass kicked and who needs their ass kissed so as to get them performing at their optimum the knights will come good.
I reckon Bennett has got casual and careless and has overplayed his hand. Gus mentioned that when they had lunch (leading up to the 2010 grand final) that Bennett said that he'd struggle if he had to rebuild a club. Bennett was once a one club man who left because of bad blood with him and the CEO, but he's now turned into a coaching ***** who has left behind his morals and forgot his linitations all for the price of a fat minig **** shoving some extra dough up his hooters g string, and for that reason, I hope he continues to fail. For a man that used to hate the media and spotlight, he appears to have been sold from all the media Bennett **** sucking that's gone on over the last 18 months. Bennett has changed. Living in new has ****ed him up. Nsw 2-qld 1. :deal
It is widely known Browns grass root development of Jnrs is of a very high standard. He is a Bellamy/Hasler type coach who leaves no stone unturned to get the best out of his squad. Speaking of Hasler, that cheeky **** scoring Inu then Perrett Doggies are building nicely
Michael Oldfield has signed a 2 year deal with us. I havent seen too much of him as i dont like watching manly, what are your thoughts on him guys?
Perrett is a good player, not a superstar and not a try scorer, he is solid and consistent, but nothing special, he has been a good club man and i wish him all the best, but from what im hearing Roosters really dont want to let him go mid season.
Qld building nicely , Smith , Cronk and Nielson outplaying formidable opposition last night , now thinking big time its going to be Nielson to be addad to Qlds SOO3 squad.
