No idea how they will make money.

Searle has pissed off that many ppl around the coast that he really needs to be removed as chief honcho. A big mess and wont be fixed for a long time.

The Titans merchandise alone would have brought in a ****load of money. Titans board should employ people involved in starting a club previously successfully and go from there.

First port of call is to test his Market value so the Titans know where they stand. At the moment they like most other clubs just assume their jnrs will stick with them for the money they get offered which is bull**** ie. Daly Cherry Evans is a recent great example of this. Once other clubs say hey we will offer you this and this the club then knows they have a fight on their hands retaining them.

If the Dragons are interested in him then game on. I think he would make a super centre, just ask the bloke he gets tips off every now and then Steve Renouf :yep

As of right now there is no Titans board and never has been, it's still Searle but the whisper is it's about to change.

My great aunt went to the funeral for Robbies mum yesterday, she lives next door to one of Mrs Farah's sisters and has met Robbie and his mum on countless occasions. They are good people, she lives alone so the whole Lebanese family bring her food and stuff when she isnt well and as she is a mad Wests supporter she has a bunch of signed stuff from Robbie. I have met a few of them down there at her place in Burwood and nicer people you wouldnt find. All very proud of Robbie and he still goes there for the big family dinner now and then. I was supposed to take her to the funeral but she ended up going with her neighbours which made more sense. Also, as a tigers fan i didnt really feel it was appropriate for me to go even though i would have had a reason. I didnt want anyone to think i was some deranged fan trying to get jollies off a famous athletes grief. My great aunt joan said it was a very sad moment and there wasnt a dry eye in the house after Farah spoke... i gave her some money on monday to put into her card that goes to the charity set up after Mrs Farah died. I wish them all the best and hope the boys can string together a few wins to make Robbie proud... heart goes out to the family, the reason i work in cancer research and pharmaceuticals is to ensure **** like this doesnt happen in the future. Someday cancer will go from a death sentence to a cureable disease.

Robbie's brother, Eddie is on the rabbitohs coaching team, and I've heard that they are a tight family.
I thought it was great when Robbie took his mum to the dally m awards when everyone else brought their missus.

    Ive got a general question....

Given the need for clubs to find new streams of revenue of late, membership seems to be one that both the NRL & the clubs individually are pushing hard, of course the AFL worked this out years ago

There seems to be a train of thought in AFL land that unless you take the plunge & become financial then your not a real supporter

How many here are paid up members?
How many plan to bite the bullet eventually?
Do you think that to be a real fan, & you can afford a couple of spots, you have to be a member?

I'm a Souths member, have been since 02 although when I didnt renew leading up to when I was moving abroad simply because I had to save up as much as I can.

Membership amongst a lot of clubs have been growing considerably over the last 5 years. I think in 5 years there'll be a couple of Sydney teams that will break the 30K mark.

I remember back when Souths used to win 3 games a year. Come seasons end, I'd be all "****ing ****s arent getting my money next year!"
Then after the off season, I'd load up my chips again and would be all "This is the year we'll make the finals!" :patsch
