I reckon the panthers or titans will pick him up. Gould seems to hqve a close eye on souths juniors and seems to like picking up players that have been sacked, rejected. The kid has a lot of potential, but realistically, there's only really a wing spot for him at souths.
You got that whole Franny Fraidy Cat wave thing going on, are you an alt of his? Cheers mate, I agree with your summation of tonight's game. I must admit I thought about this when placing my tips for this round but then I thought "NAAAAAAHHHH!!!"
I've got inside info on Lewis...he's a troublemaker, he didn't "leave" Penrith, they wanted him gone. This content is protected
If true, that's interesting seeing as how they have picked up many rejects who have been in strife. Probably different kind of trouble though. If I had to guess, Lewis has probably been at loggerheads with the board for a while. Anyone watch the game plan last night? Scott waffled told a story about how one time when they were about to run out the tunnel against the roosters, Preston Campbell asked his team mates "how much ya give me if I pop one on the roosters mascot (who was in the tunnel). Veryone laughed but sure enough, he apparently did it and knocked the mascot down. I have loads of respect for Preston, but if this is true and not exaggerated, then that's pretty low. Most of the people inside the mascot costumes are spaccas and old timers.
Penriths been a basket case for a while, remember last year or the year before when all the Polynesians were getting all militant & wanting more input into decision making, from memory Pritchard & Petero were right in it, as was Jennings, but all in all it looked like the inmates were running the assylum, the club payed way too much money for some blokes also Its obvious Gus has just come in to put the broom through the joint & start from scratch, he's more likely to hang onto decent players with good attitudes rather than superstars with **** attitudes, if he keeps the gooduns & invests in the massive amount of youth they have coming through he has the opportunity to start from scratch & try & implement a Melbourne or Canterbury like culture, every club is trying to get the "club culture" right, if you can get everything harmonious & create a place blokes want to play, the attitudes add to the ability & your a long way towardsa winning culture
Having said all that i ndoubt Lewis is a trouble maker by nature, it may have worked out that way at Penrith, but i dont think he's a serial offender & he'll more than likely knuckle down at the shonks... If he can handle the culture shock
Ray Price got it right when he said Lewis only turns up to play when it's a State of Origin match - if Parra had got him it would only have made things worse for them. The bloke's been a stalwart of the club but I think he's over-rated. His ability is overinflated due to his adaptability over the years - he's pretty much played every position on the field (I remember when he debuted on the wing with Luke Rooney on the other flank!) but hasn't really excelled in any of them IMO.
hes only really been "good" since he stacked the weight on. since then hes slowly improved. he can really whack now too. lock is his spot imo
