I like where your heart is at, but I dont agree that strong junior clubs like Parra, Penrith, and Souths should be disadvantaged just because they've been succesful in the past. That aside, I agree that the first priority is grass roots footy. Everyone keeps going on about how the first 20 rounds scheduled is a good idea, but I'm still failing to see why. What if say Parra somehow got their **** together and are in the top 4 by round 10, yet wouldnt reap the benefits of free to air game time like the Friday night Bronco's, or other teams who were anticipated to feature in the big games? Keep it to every 4 weeks, that way you can see how the game is going, and reward the teams going good of getting free to air tv time.
Which is a grossly unfair advantage they have. I know the reason why 9 have it, but why cant they rotate them with the Cows and Titans more evenly? Funnily enough, the Bronco's bad run has come at a time where their Friday night games have dried up somewhat.
its not a disadvantage. its just giving eveyone else a leg up to join them. This money should be a warm blanket over the whole game with the nrl clubs left to run their own race after being relieved of the financial burdens of providing for their area.
Cant believe how brian mcclennan messed up the warriors. That side has quality all over it and should have been pushing for the grand final again. Now with the $1 billion deal done can we see expansion. I would like to see a side in perth!!
I agree ... But if something isn't done over the of season for 2013 with the new coach it will be sink or swim..... They lost Tate, inu, Maloney nxt year, and current squad playing without passion ... Warriors need players ! 2013 is going to be a painful year A side in Perth is deff the way to go, Perth is booming the money for the game is there now, let's make it happen !!!!
Need to **** the Warriors off and get a side in New Guinea or Darwin , both have unlimited potential.
Have u ever heard the story back in the 90's when the Aussie were over in PNG playing a one off test and the Aussies were pumping them by about 50 something to 0, When things started to get unruly in the crowd, The authorities broke out the tear gas and the players had to dive to the ground for cover... They heard a lot of cheering going on and when the smoke had cleard got up and PNG had 6 points on the board, They kept playing through it, Imagine this going on week to week if they had a team in the NRL
Fiji has always been more rugby union, whereas PNG league is the national sport, both haven't really got the infrastructure or security to sustain a team
