I never missed a game, even during those dark years. Expectations were obviously lower than now, but I was more or less watching them to see a good effort and in hope of a win. Kinda sad a bit, but you gotta stick by your team.
I feel sorry for Elliott. He isn't a great coach, but he's better than the **** the Warriors are producing. There was strong talk that the Wardiors didn't want to play for him even before he started his job there, and that they only wanted a kiwi coach. Was never ever going to be a perfect fit.
Same, I sat through many a cricket score, that's the difference between souths supporters, we're stauncher than most
ill always stick with them, but I guess its tough adjustng when you are used to seeing your team hover around the 8... this is the first year we havent atleast had some chance of finals footy. I think I am also a bit disillusioned by how the club is being run... the buys, the releases, the insane contracts offered to **** players and worst of all the infighting between the two sides of the board.
The players wanted Iro who took temporary charge last year. If all the players want him and then they appoint someone else that someone else needs to pretty damn good. Appointing Elliott was a mistake!!
The players shouldn't get to dictate such events as they have no idea about what's good for the club and at the end of the day, would rather a "mate" in charge than someone else. I remember Kewell and a few other Socceroo's coming out and strongly protesting the Frank Farina sacking as Socceroo's manager. Hiddink was appointed manager and the rest is history. Players are there to play and be coached by whoever the powers that be decide to appoint. Benji Marshall apparently lead a faction that resulted in Sheens getting the boot. Look how that turned out.
The tigers biggest issue is at board level between wests and Balmain I think 4 people have resigned in a month they run as seperate teams off field basically
thats only true in certain cases. the brumbies won a comp with a coach they all despised. and each case is different. whats true in all cases though is that players should have a coach they feel like they are willing to bleed for.
http://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/is...rst-signing-ever/story-fndv39ms-1226647133067 Considering money paid and other factors, is Blair the worst signing ever??? Yeah wide_open_road the joint venture is ****ing up.... but neither Wests or Balmain could survive on their own
if anyone is interested, heaps of us have moved to the check/hook/boxing forum...its all ESB people and the rules are relaxed, post what you want where you want, pictures are fine to post and nudes are accepted. I will start an NRL thread there if anyone wants to join.
not all good at the knights , none of the players wanting to see houstan back on the field, nd rick stone wants him gone before june 30th even tho he has 1 yr remaining, wayne bennett has told kevin naiqama time to move on as the club carnt afford 200k on a winger and he would bennett wants him to play 1st grade
