But Ruiz didn't try to and make a fighter with someone else did he?

It's all well and good saying everyone knew a third fighter was contracted but if it was the case why was Fury firstly saying he won't fight Wilder again and why did Team Fury make the AJ fight?

Why bother with all that work when they knew Wilder was happening next?

Who's to say the repercussions to all this is the Saudis saying they ain't putting the money up again?

 

Fury said publicly days ago that the AJ fight was happening next, if he knew he had to fight Wilder next why did he do that then?

 

They tried to get out of the Wilder contract. That's why it went before a judge.
But Arum was also planning the Wilder fight ... if the arbitration ruled they had to fight him, (or if Hearn failed to deliver a genuine offer that Tyson Fury wanted).

This seems to me quite easy to understand. I'm not sure where the confusion is coming from.

 

But they could have done this in December?

If there was a get out in December and Fury was so adamant that he wouldn't fight Wilder again why did they not exercise there right to get out of the rematch?

 

Clesrly there wasnt hence the arbitration. I dont get whats so difficult to understand.

Fury got tired of waiting, declared he was not interested in meeting Wilder for a third time and claimed the immediate rematch clause has expired. But Wilder disagrees, and Warren said Fury's next opponent depends on the outcome of the legal decision in the United States.

"Hopefully Tyson will fight again in the first quarter of 2021, and we don't know yet if it will be against Wilder because of the arbitrary situation, we're still waiting on the outcome of that," Warren told ESPN. "The only thing I want from you is for you to honor your agreement and fight me," Wilder said to Fury via social media.

Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas was previously lined up to host Fury-Wilder III, but Fury had hoped to box on home soil next month.

There were plans for Fury to fight an alternative opponent to Wilder at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, on Dec. 5, but that idea was abandoned earlier this week due to coronavirus restrictions preventing spectators attending and also because of Wilder's legal action.

"The arbitration wasn't the main reason Tyson is not fighting on Dec. 5 -- it was called off because we had a problem with the start times at the Royal Albert Hall, and the money didn't stack up," Warren told ESPN.

"It would've had to start in the early hours of the morning in the UK, and that wouldn't have worked. At the moment, I don't know where Tyson will fight next. It's highly probable it will be in the States."

Warren says the plan remains for Fury to face rival world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in 2021.

"At some point next year, we want the Joshua fight -- that's the first one we want to have. We don't want Wilder, we want Joshua," Warren told ESPN. "We don't know when all this [pandemic, restrictions] is going to end. It's a huge amount of money we would lose from the gate if fans aren't allowed at it in the UK, it might have to go abroad.

"First though, it would be great to get them signed up for the fight."

It seems a stretch to me that Fury's promoters were planning to initiate and string out a false pretense to be open to an AJ fight they (including Fury himself !) definitely don't want, for six whole months, and extend court or mediation proceedings to get out of a fight that they neither wanted to get out of, or believed they could get out of, and make themselves look bad or foolish in the process ........

....... i still can't see a plausible motive for this ...

I'm not sure it matters much in terms of AJ-Fury because it seems real communications on that subject didn't really start until January, but I'd like to know what people know about that ..... or is it just a case of parrotting Eddie Hearn again ??

 

Yeah, now Hearn is admitting he was "naive".. Really Eddie? More like negligent.

The absolute fool, he went and done all that work, secured finances, basically announced the fight without checking the most important point, the only thing that could possibly stop the fight.

Because he reckons he took the word of a 90 year old pothead who has a history of lying.

Many people have said it, Hearn prides himself on being all about details, nothing gets past him and he built the biggest British fight of all time on a house of cards and when it all came tumbling down he wants to blame everybody but himself.

 

The source is Earn himself. At one point in the interview Earn said the arbitration case was confidential and he could not look into it himself. Then later on he said “they could have got out of it in december.” He could not have known that if it was confidential like he himself said. A clear contradiction.

Anyone that believes a word of what any of these promoters say (that includes brick top and bob aswell) is an absolute clown

 

I don't know why he's bothering. No one with any sense was going to completely blame him anyway. It's just the arbitration ruling on the original rematch contract. The only people Hearn might have to explain to are some rich Arabs.
Hearn seems to be pushing an agenda. His usual agenda, which is more about Eddie Hearn's precious ego and image, than the boring facts of the actual boxing business.

He's blatantly lying if he says he put 100% faith in Arum's statements about definitely winning the arbitration. It's unbelievable. Even if Arum seemed to 100% believe he would win, no one in business - in fact no one with any life experience - would completely bank on it.
Especially as the other side of the case was Finkel and Haymon et al. .......... not exactly mugs.

It's very strange that he wants to sell himself as a "naive", innocent dupe. Just goes to show what kind of simple-minded audience he's playing to, and the kind of contempt he holds these "fans" of his in.

And, having said all that, I don't even mind the guy. I know he's a snake but if you bear that in mind, he's still often entertaining !

 

I Can't see them fighting in December either. Even if they both win there is always 1 more they need to get out of the way.

It will be nice to see fury honouring a rematch because he didn't with klitschko.

I enjoy the soap opera side of things. I'm just looking forward to the 2 fights that should happen in July and August and then the talk can start again.
