My favourites are 'Hands of Stone' & '4 Kings'

Becoming Holyfield was a good read & I recently finished a book by Bob Mee about Ali & Liston that was pretty good too.

Currently reading "No Ordinary Joe" (Calzaghe) & really enjoying it

I'm actually thinking of doing a thread about Book Swaps. Obviously it'd all be based on trust but would anyone else be interested in doing a book swap thing?

I liked 'Becoming Holyfield' even though it's out of date (I read it earlier this year). Not a bad read for a non-boxing fan as well because there are explanations of things like the sanctioning bodies.

Where are the victories vs Kessler and Hopkins in the book? For that reason, it's ****. What a con.

As do I, whilst reading the book I'm rewatching old Joe fights & he was a great fighter

:D Yeah I didnt notice that before I shoplifted it (as I do most of my books) but anyway I am enjoying it.

The Holy book (not the bible) was a good read though it spent too much time on his many wives & kids

The mods ought to make this thread a sticky. Not a month goes by without the same post.

As for book all of those that have already been mentioned and also Kevin Mitchells 'War Baby'

Not strictly boxing but I've recectly been doing a bit of reading on the old bareknuckle days.

Bold As A Lion. The Life Of Bendigo - Champion Of England
Tom Spring: Bare-knuckle Champion of All England

    Both recommended.

Just cos its the last boxing book I read, & it would be nice to see what other people thought of him saying that he didnt like Eubank when he met him, so gave him an utter beating in sparring...

Would be good if someone could upload THAT Eubank sparring footage!

The best I have read is 'Four Kings'.

Obviously written about the middleweight legends from an insider point of view.

Brilliant read. Some really good stuff on Duran.

As I always say on threads like these, Adam Pollocks 'In The Ring with...Bob Fitzsimmons' is a brilliant read.

Having also read 'Hands of Stone' I found myself disappointed with Four Kings.

Just found myself waiting for the Duran stories, and wished i'd just read Durans book again
