I’ll give it a try but based on the demo footage I think it’s going to flop. The active HW roster sucks hard. EA is really trying to sabotage this game when they signed Joshua and Fury to exclusive contracts to guest appear in their UFC games.

Tyson Fury signed up. Mills Lane got me hyped.

Calzaghe vs Froch is probably going to be my first fight. I'll be using Froch. All being well. Just have this thought in the back of my mind that the year is 2030 and now 20000 fighters have been announced. Paul ''scrap iron'' Ryan finally gets in.

 

The gameplay and 'feel' is going to be the critical element I'd suspect, and it won't be easy to tell until we actually get to play the game. I'm probably going to buy the moment the reviews turn out well, I am not convinced they will though. Suppose I might pre-order if there's a good incentive since you have the refund option on Steam.

The heavyweight roster seems fine to me. Tyson Fury, Usyk, Joyce. Don't recall who else, or the historical names. Presumably you'd be able to add in everyone else with a customiser like in Fight Night.

 

I'm extremely excited for this even though I suspect a high chance of disappointment. A modern boxing game, after a decade without, on PC, by a team that seems to actually know boxing, with so much promise in every department? Seems too good to be true.

Fight Night Champion was pretty sh*t in a vast number of ways and seemed a downgrade from previous iterations and even Knockout Kings in several ways ... and I played the sh*t out of it.

 

Just dreading the moment I look at the review average and it is 3.5/10. ''Creed is a better game.'' etc. Hope the gameplay is up to the task. I'm not expecting perfection, but at least if it is just good. Be able to make the most of this roster and play again and again.
