Adamek....... 2 division champion.... Usually involved in exciting fights.... Has beaten the best at Cruiserweight thus far.... Was competitive in his only loss.... Just this year was involved in one of the best fights of the year....

Top 20~?? Hell yeah.... He fits in there....

    Are you on your period?

I never criticised Flores. I just put him amongst a list of cruiserweight contenders, which is what he is last I checked. And my opinion is the list of contenders is no better than the heavyweights. My opinion is also that Alexeev is a far better prospect. I think I'm entitled to that.

Flores was running around like a track star when he felt Wilson's power. Sure it won him the fight, but when he feels that type of power against a more active, faster fighter than Darnell he will lose with those tactics. Judges do not favour it.

I never said Alexeev's competition is fantastic either. But its not awful for a novice. He has done the job, showing great technical ability, defence and power.

    Here is your quote

That is not just a list of contenders. Youre saying he is the same kind of fighter as the rest.

Clearly he is not. He can stick and move, and he can walk opponents down. If you had seen him fight before you would know this and not put your foot in your mouth. :deal

'Those tactics' you refer to is smart boxing. Some judges like it, some dont, but it wins fights. Could Macarinelli 'run around like a track star' if he tried? We both know the answer to that.

Also, how can Alexeev be a better prospect, if Flores is no longer a prospect himself? :huh You put him in a list of top 10 contenders, and call him a prospect? Ring magazine has him in there top 10 too, it will be a while before Alexeev gets a spot there.

Exactally. The cruiserweight division today is WAY better than heavyweight.

All you got in Heavy is Wlad and Vitali.

All these other fools are either out of shape or inactive or old.

Best thing i have read in this topic.

    Props to you, Jacko. :thumbsup

Why are all you guys so interested in this P4p thing?

Seriously, as a boxing fan a p4p thing is only a hype factor in boxing to me.

    :thumbsup

Yes, only becouse you got the Klitchkos. Other than them, no its not superior quality than cruisers.

Well said. What are the best potential fights in HW?

Who else outside of Haye and possibly even Gomez (even tho the McCall fight didnt impress me at all) would make a good matchup? Nobody really.

COme on man, there are talks about Maskaev fighting Vitali right now LOL.

That old geezer from Uzbekistan is getting a title shot after getting blasted by a fat Peter?

    Bahhh LOL.

Hopfully Boytsov gets his career going, the Heavyweight division would like a guy like him.

It doesnt suck at all. You just think it sucks becouse of the fact you dont follow it mainly becouse most of ESB are Americans and its Euro dominated, hence the thead title, its underrated. In Europe i wouldnt say so as much, but it is a great division to watch for a boxing fan.

Cruserweight has a lot of matchups that would be great for boxing and great for fans to even get into this exciting division.

I can name you a few prospects right off my head but this post is already to long, and if you want me to, reply and I will.

Wilson was massively overhyped on this forum, even the whole forum started to get interested in the cruisers just over the fact he posted here. To bad the American hope got beat by a Turkish guy.

Some were even picking to KO Arslan lolz.

I agree Odo. Thanks for replying in my thread. I agree with most of your points.

The whole Kessler and Calzaghe thing moving up and takin any top 10 cruiser is a joke to me imho.

The size differance is just way to big as you said....

If anything, Dawson would fare well, but I wouldnt count on it to much.

    Well post overall.

Im not, fool. Ive been following this division scince the Holyfeild and DM Qawi days. Stick to Mayweather threads please.

Well yea if you put it in that perspective.

The cruisers are more competative and better in quality apart from Haye and the Klitschkos.

But seriously, other than that no. Some of these guys fighting for the heavyweight belt are a joke.

    Honestly....

Cunninghamm, Adamek, Wlodarczyk, Alexeev, and maybe some others, would beat recent title contenders ie Rahman, Holyfeild, Shot Brewster, Austin, and even Valuev who was horrid vs a recent grandpaw in Holyfield.

But its not what the topic is about. The topic is about Crusiers being underrated due to the competitivness in the division and the excitement this division can really bring, which it will in the future, maybe not so much to Americans. Maybe if Cunningham won people would be saying this division surly is underrated and great, but to bad tho he lost. Not that I care.

    Exactally!

I agree with your post and you said it well.

Most dont think so becouse basically this division is Euro dominated, aside from Jones.

    True!

This guy was tracking in the mid to late rounds. He felt some blows, and descided to box outside and keep his distance.

Flores will get KOd by Adamek being that he is WAY better than Wilson. The hype still amazes me a bit.

Those wild looping punches got him no where...cept the Nwodo KO. (which was nice BTW) Adameks combos will finish him in the late rounds as Flores will get TKOd.

    Bottom line:

This division is exciting and more competitive than the heavys. Not the point of the thread, but its what it looked out to be. But seriously, the quality of some cruisers are underrated as well.
Cruisers are underrated overall, but its also a main factor that its not a American type division, which doesn't provide much attraction overall.

Some of these cruisers could come to HW and defiantly beat some of these so called HW "contenders". I dont have any doubt in that.

    Bottom line 2:

Heavys suck apart from 3/4 fighters, cruisers don't.

    good day!

    vodka time. 8)
