This is your top 10 boxers of the 90s? Are you sure you don't mean the 80s? And if that's the case, get rid of Lennox Lewis from that list lol
I could be mistaken here, but it looks as if you may have taken your top spot from the 1990s and combined it with the rest of your list from the 1980s? Please clarify when you can.
Hi, I knew of this forum for a number of years but never made an account to participate until now. I found this thread via Rummy's 'Top 10 P4P Boxers in the 1960s' video. I'm just wondering if I were to participate in the future decades survey, is it as simple as leaving a list here?
Welcome, and yes. You can post your list(s) here of between 10 and 25 names for any of the remaining decades. 1970s is still open for a few more weeks. And of course, feel free to make contributions for the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. Never too early for the remaining decades.
1980s Julio Cesar Chavez Larry Holmes Marvelous Marvin Hagler Thomas Hearns Michael Spinks Sugar Ray Leonard Roberto Duran Hilario Zapata Eusebio Pedroza Chang Jung-koo Aaron Pryor Salvador Sanchez Khaosai Galaxy Azuma Nelson Yuh Myung-woo Gilberto Roman Watanabe Jiro Wilfredo Gomez Mike Tyson Dwight Muhammad Qawi Mike McCallum Jeff Chandler Alexis Arguello Donald Curry Miguel Lora Honourable mentions: Pernell Whitaker, Evander Holyfield, Roger Mayweather, Lupe Pintor, Matthew Saad Muhammad, Meldrick Taylor, Hector Camacho, Edwin Rosario, Sumbu Kalambay, Micahel Nunn, Iran Barkley, Virgil Hill...well there's probably some good champions that I missed but the 80s was that deep. I think the boxers I listed in my top 25 covered every single weight class in existence then, sometimes I do feel like I was arbitrarily splitting hairs doing this but I'm content with how my list has turned out.
Me too Noel, he went 55-0-1 in the 60's, almost all by stoppage, including winning the title in a dominating stoppage win over BW ATG Lionel Rose, plus wins over Alan Rudkin, Jose Medel, Kazuyoshi and Kanazawa, Takao Sukurai, Salvatorre Burruni and (an admittedly pre-prime) Octavo Gomez. He should be a lock for the top 10 imo, but this survey is (correctly) an equal democracy, so alas, we've been outvoted.

But Hagler didnt even fight in the 90s, neither did Spinks... I feel like this should be a list for the 80s, but strangly there is Lewis at the top.. I just dont undertand it
