Just a heads-up, a minimum of 10 is required for each decade. You have plenty of time to expand on what you started (and please feel free to edit your changes in your original list post). You're good to go on the 1910s, but I'm afraid I still need 3 more names for your 1900s. Deadline will be in less than a week.

    Cheers! And thanks!

Just like to add my 1980s list, which took me waaaay longer than the previous decades to compile, due to there being far more world champions (and sanctioning bodies) to consider. I don't think I could cope with compiling a list for the 90s and subsequent decades!

    IX 1980s:

    1. Julio Cesar Chavez
    2. Myung-Woo Yuh
    3. Jung-Koo Chang
    4 . Hilario Zapata
    5. Larry Holmes
    6. Kaosai Galaxy
    7. Michael Spinks
    8. Marvin Hagler
    9. Azumah Nelson
    10. Aaron Pryor

I only feel knowledgable to rank from the 60s to 80s as that's when I watched boxing almost constantly. I asked my Dad to compile a list of who he thought were the best p4p boxers in the 40s.

    6) Nino Benvenuti
    7) Vincente Saldivar
    8) Bob Foster
    9) Sonny Liston
    10) Carlos Ortiz

    1970s
    1) Muhammad Ali
    2) Roberto Duran
    3) Carlos Monzon
    4) George Foreman

OK, I have the following 12 tentatively ready to roll. If any of you 12 make any amendments to your list before the deadline (in approximately 23 hours), please let me know so I can update what I have here. @McGrain no pressure, but if you have time your input would be appreciated.

And for everyone else, still time left!

And for the record, if anyone is gets these less than a day behind the deadline, I'm NOT trying to dissuade people. As long as I'm not too far along, I'll try my best to include anyone who misses by a few hours or whatnot.

It's difficult for me to understand Packey McFarland only being on 3 out of 11 lists. Even more so that they are 2 x top 25 on which he doesn't appear.

McFarland was 58-1-3 in the decade. His only loss, if it occurred at all, was when he was a 15-year old child.

He went 1-0-1 with top 10 all time LW Freddie Welsh & was considered to be on the better end of the draw.

He beat the wonderful Benny Yanger, as well as Leach Cross x 2, Jimmy Britt and Harlem Tommy Murphy.

I have McFarland as a top 6 all-time Lightweigh and top 40 all-time P4P, so he must have got lost somewhere in my back and forth laptop - phone cutting and pasting of my lists. I'll add him back in now. Thanks for pointing it out.
