And why would he fight Usyk..? But this is an opportunity to fight the winner of the Wilder vs Fury rematch.

Sounds good, probably not PPV worthy but these two love a good scrap and have great heart.

Whyte on points if he can't catch Breazeale.

Dillian said he would fight anyone if it makes financial sense and for ranking.

    This helps his ranking/ positioning.

There is your reason. You can put an icepack on your forehead and wipe the dribble of your face now.

    Thank you.

He's just relegated himself to the sidelines of the heavyweight title scene for the foreseeable future. What kind of moron doesn't take a career high payday & title fight only to fight Dominic Breazeale.

If Dillian is any good, he should win this with ease. I am glad one of them (and especially/hopefully Breazeale) is getting out of the way for a title shot. Breazeale didn't do anything to deserve that shot in the first place.

Dillian backing himself for the long game. If (when) he beast breazeale he will be in a great position for future mega fights.

I've already accepted the reality that King Kong is living rent-free under Dillian's bed so I'm okay with this fight. Two guys with lot of heart and grit.

Tbf it's a good career move , if whyte wins he becomes wilders mando, not that the wbc would enforce it

It's not guaranteed that Wilder is still the champion at that point.

Logical move by Whyte... I'd much prefer Ortiz / Povetkin but anyone with a brain can see the reason why he's taking this route

Whyte will fight anyone who is in the way, is a much more suitable saying...

If Joshua fights the winner of Wilder vs Fury 2 then he's sidelined, for at least a while. Opportunities don't come up often like this, should have taken the Joshua fight and left his pride at the door.
