Wright has a chance? Ever notice how volume punching movers always trouble him? It's likely he gets stopped, he's particularly soft to body shots at that and has nothing in his arsenal or style to do anything to Joe. Joe is the biggest nightmare for Wright out of anybody active.
Maybe by this stage we should be running a poll on the current nominees, exluding the ones that have already received a high amount of votes, to see who becomes part of the comitee. Counting nominations isn't really accurate anymore, because a lot of people have voted for particular posters, which doesn't give their particular stance on the other nominees. If someone else was going to be nominated by now, it would have happened IMO. Or maybe the top guys from this thread should be taken in, and people should vote again on the remaining posters. Just a thought anyway...
Yah. in hindsight, 10 days may have been too long. I think we should end it here with a certain threshold of posters, let them in, and then do another thread to vote on the remaining posters. I think 4 votes or more should get you in Auto at this point. It was said that this would be trial and error, so I guess we start that part here and now. Any other suggestions?
Considering the love that's already gone around, it makes getting down to 2 a little easier (if votes still count, this late?). Anyway, Sweet Pea and Lance_Uppercut. While they might not have a problem saying they disagree with you, they are still easilly 2 of the better and more knowledgable posters, imo. Although, it woulda been a lot harder narrowing it down to 2 if others weren't already certainty's.
I forgot about China. He would add a different perspective to the comittee, and would be interesting to have on board. Although its great to have objective posters, you also need an element of people who are very forward in the way they voice their opinions. Guys like Sweet Pea, Amsterdam and China Hand Joe are good examples of this IMO.
What, are moderators not allowed to be nominated? Scar hasn't even had one nomination, and again, I reckon he's another of the more knowledgable posters here too... While some people may not be interested, perhaps leaving it open for a few more days gives other posters a chance to have their say (although to be honest, I haven't been following the system and rules that hard, so I don't really know what's going on).
Well it has been up for 3 days. Lampley runs the show, most here are just making suggestions as to when to slow it down. At some point, when you get alot of posters who have one vote a piece, the vote will have to be closed and have a vote off between these guys. I think Lampley wanted it done so there could be October rankings, and well, it is the 20th. Mods can get votes (Amsterdam and Achillies got votes).....did you vote for Scar?
i vote for MSTR from the aussie forum and dane pugilist. i really hope an expert on asian boxing makes it to the group. the fact that some people already think of having only the top5 for the smaller divisions is quite tragic. i hope they are represented. PS. i swear i'll make it to this list in time. i'll read, watch, and analyze more i promise. props to the people who came up with this by the way. give me a few months and i'll be better
Unfotunately, I cannot claim to have a large knowledge of the 112 and under divisions. They simply don't play their fights very often. However, with new technology, we can find nearly any fight and of course look at resumes etc. Even with 2-3 experts on the smaller weight classes (I wonder if their are even that many here), you would end up with a lack of overall knowledge on these weight classes I believe causing the rankings to be somewhat invalid if we did 10 fighters in those weight classes.
