HBO caught looking dumb as we focus on Gaudet's corner where they speak French and HBO has no translator/interpreter.

Round 2 begins and Gaudet is moving like a little snake. Gaudet lands flush on the chin of Soto and I think Humberto giggled in his face. Soto apparently wanted to fight Marquez at 135 before Marquez settled n big money with Mayweather. Gaudet floats like a butterfly and stings like a gnat. Gaudet moving and Billy Dib-ing it as Soto is moving and trying to catch Gaudet in a war. Gaudet moving and hipping and hopping around. Gaudet with a wide fruity loop hook on Soto and nothing lands. Soto pressuring Gaudet and trying to land a big big right hand. Soto has this "matter of time" sort of vibe going about him right now. Soto trying to sneak in something as he and Gaudet soirt of rumble as the round ends.

    Good round actually.

    10-9 Soto.

Soto's cornerman says don't chase but cut the distance. Soto's corner man says to his rhythm (or riddum) to set the pace.

Soto looks focused as he tries to move in and cut off Gaudet. Gaudet is moving well and trying to flurry but he doesn't have ANYTHING to his pop. Gaudet is beginning to settle into his rhythm and looks very solid outside of the KD. Gaudet caught with a big punch and goes into track star mode forcing Soto to chase. Soto is trying to chase Gaudet down but Gaudet is getting his road work in right now. Gaudet is doing his best to spoil and so far I'd venture a guess and say he's succeeded. Gaudet should be allowed to load his gloves, he has nothing on this punches. Gaudet is actually trying in the last minute of the round and trying to force a fight of sorts. Soto measured and calm as the round ends.

A close round in all actuality. One could say Soto lost that round. I won't.

    3-0 Soto with a point

Gaudet can dance. He may actually have a chance to win this - if he can dance and not get hit until 12.

    I doubt he can though.

How has Gaudet managed to get this far in boxing with no punch resistance and no pop?

Soto has Gaudet hurt and Gaudet LEGIT turns and runs. That looked like a rabbit running from a fox on a nature film of some kind. Soto has Gaudet on the ropes and is looking for body work. Gaudet to his credit is able to duck out of the way of the body work and survive as one would say. I'm beginning to yawn now. Someone should grab Lampley and tell him it's Gaw-Day not Gaw-det. Soto and Gaudet are now muscling each other with Gaudet holding for dear life. Gaudet moving and Soto chasing. The most powerful punch landed all round was Gaudet. Gaudet moving well and Soto is chasing him. Big right by Soto misses as the round ends.

Merchant is WITH the Hatton band.

"Ricky Hatton is the king of de ring and there is truly only one Ricky Hatton."

Hatton's band says they play the song all the day. Band leader says it achieves a great atmosphere for the fight and a positive atmosphere. Everyone can identify with Hatton because he's a regular guy and he has his feet on the ground.

"With Ricky you get what ya see, he's a true gentleman and a good man."
