I could be over-reacting since I lost money backing Bakole last time against a much smaller opponent in Michael Hunter. But Wach is a very big man himself and only stopped by Miller other than the TKO via cuts against a savvy boxer like Povetkin. So unless you think Bakole is on the level of a Miller or Povetkin or holds so much power that he is going to be one of the only to stop Wach (possible) or somehow beat him by decision in Poland, I think the most likely outcome is Wach by decision or late T/KO if Bakole tires.

I figure Wach being home would come into play.

I find women's MMA a lot more interesting than women's boxing, especially with the two minute rounds. But this upcoming women's middleweight unification bout on April 13th is a great opportunity for the gamblers out there with Christina Hammer inexplicably between a 3 to 1 and 4 to 1 underdog. No way should Claressa Shields be favored so widely against the more experienced taller champion with longer reach. I've got some money on Hammer between +325, +330 and +398 (3-way) for a nice payday if she pulls off the upset.

Shields is a punk and I couldn’t believe the odds were so heavy in her favor

My thoughts on the Shields/Hammer fight:

I'm including Shields in as many parlays as possible and hammering the Shields ML as well. I think you guys are overrating Hammer. Hammer has the clear advantage in experience as well as reach and height, but that's about all. I can't call myself an expert on women's boxing, but I know what my eyes tell me. Hammer, like many women who box professionally, looks slow and uncoordinated. You can tell that she has solid fundamentals and technique, but her punches don't have that certain snap.

Fighters like Shields and Katie Taylor not only have the fundamentals and technique down, but they're also far "twitchier" than someone like Hammer. Shields explodes with her punches, throwing quick combinations against often overmatched opponents. Hammer, on the other hand, just sort of wings punches with her arms, at a speed that I think will be exploited by Shields.

I think that Shields will easily outpoint Hammer to a unanimous decision win. Let us not forget that the fight is in the US, and if there's an A-side fighter who will get the benefit of the doubt from the judges, it's Shields.

Just my two cents. Best of luck to all.

    I don’t think she’s a 4-1 favorite though but that’s just me

All good man, we can agree to disagree.

After watching the film, I'm not quite sure what Hammer fans see in her. Shields just looks so much faster, more fluid, and explosive. I wouldn't even say that Hammer has a good jab. I mean, her jab is her best punch, but that's really not saying much. Anyways, I could be completely wrong on Saturday. We'll see!

Shields is explosive. Yes. Shields looks spectacular. Yes². But that's it. She's ineffective and she's sloppy. And not accurate at all. She leaves herself wide open while coming in with those power punches and hooks. She was dropped by an uppercut vs. Gabriels and Hammer has a first class uppercut and can throw it even from a wider distance as she has a clear reach advantage her. She doesn't need to go to the pocket to beat Shields. Shields is a brawler type and she'll get exposed soon. The Gabriels fight was a warning signal and i fully expect Hammer to school Shields. Hammer has an underrated inside game though. She can fight in the pocket and she will probably prove that. If Gabriels can drop Shields like a sack of potatoes Hammer can do aswell. She has power and she has fast hands if she let her hands fly. Do watch the Nelson fight. I am not certain if you watched it. She beat Nelson up. In the pocket, from the distance, with her jab, with the uppercut. And calling Hammer "slow" clearly shows that you didn't watch a lot of her fights. Probably some YT highlight videos where she jabbed opponents from bell to bell.

Shields power is overrated though. She isn't punching hard. She didn't score a single knockdown in her pro career. She stopped two of her 8 opponents, but by ref stoppage and without even knocking one of her opponents down. I can remember how she beat that Hungarian girl to **** and she didn't go down although Shields hit her clean with some big looking punches.

Your opinion is all about "what looks more interesting". It's women boxing and you probably don't care about that and then watching a fight between Shields and Hammer you clearly going with the girl who is looking more spectacular. But as always, or better said not as always but quite often: Boxer beats brawler.

And another thing....only for the record....i know Shields is fighting at home in the US BUT...believe me or not...

BOTH Shields AND Hammer are PROMOTED here. Both signed with Salita. I do not think they'll rob Hammer if she beats her comfortably and i fully expect her to do that to be honest. 97-93 like decision.
