Official: Hasim Rahman to fight winner of Povetkin vs. Huck, within 120 days

The kid is a middleweight, I talked to him a few times, but never seen him fight. A couple of my buddies told me the kid is tough. However we are in the same weight class, maybe I can get a fight with him before he goes up to the pros ahahah.

I can think of about 50 HWs who I'd sooner see receive a title shot than Rahman.

He hasn't had a win over a top 200 HW since he beat Monte Barrett back in 2005.

 

I guess he's had mixed success as an amateur. Won some tournaments, lost some.

He posts updates on Facebook.

 

Thats what I hear. The AMs are so messed up though, out of 25 fights or so i'd say about 1/3 of the results have me scratching my head.

How the hell does Rahman deserve a crack at fake title?? Germans love bringing washed up American ex champs overseas to get beat up by Europeans.

 

Sauerland does not want Povetkin to fight Rahman. There are many others they would sooner have as Sasha's next opponent.

Inexplicably, the WBA has made Hasim Rahman it's #1 ranked contender and Povetkin's mandatory.

So Povetkin has NO CHOICE other than to fight him, or he'll be stripped of his paper belt.
