This is going to be an awkward fight for Haye, having such a longer reach is going to be a huge advantage for Valuev. Props to Haye for taking the fight - if it turns out to be true.

:deal I guess the PPV revenue from UK was a part of it I wonder if the US networks will show any interest in this....HBO did seem keen to get Haye on (they turned down Wlad-Chag to leave budget for Haye-Wlad/Vitali). I reckon that proposed Arreola-Maskaev fight wont go ahead now and Arreola will face Vitali
Cool. This is the ideal scenario all-round, as he says he should be in a better position to bargain with the Klitschko's on the details of the deal, but probably not the money. Should he win of course. A lot of people are going to sleep on Valuev (quite literally) just because of what happened against Holyfield. Valuev has fought a lot of decent level heavyweights out there and has always remained competitive even if we disagree with decisions. He's slow as ****, but he's got a good jab, a good 12 round work-rate and so far a good beard. Try to imagine Haye doesn't take him out in the first 6, wastes some energy, and is then in a position where he's facing his first real super heavyweight, in deep water he's not used to > 6 rounds.
cheers for the info, Dave good move by haye, that lumbering lumberjack will look like he's moving in super slo mo i'm not mad at haye for rejecting V klit, it was easier to accept those ridiculous terms by wlad, but similar or worse terms against vitali are just not on because haye would've had a lesser chance of beating vitali this is the route he should've taken in the first place, however haye is gonna be very rusty come november and its gonna be a harder ppv to sell, he should've had this on terestrial, raised his profile and then the klits on ppv not to be pessimistic but i won't believe it till they both set foot in the ring, from now till november? thats a long time for something to go wrong
they basically wanted options on him, if he beat vitali they wanted a rematch then a fight with wlad and then 2 fights after that....outrageous!
Haye really good do with actually doing some fighting - he's in danger of becoming known for his mouth not his fists.
Just noticed its up on Haye's website too. Haye-Valuev it is then! :happy http://www.dhaye.com/News/Default.aspx
Good fight for Haye and definitely an easier fight than either Klitschko's. Valuev is so slow that Haye should be able to box rings around him. The only problem will be if he can stick to a gameplan and not punch himself out, seeing as Valuev appears to have a solid chin. Then again it would be nice for Haye to KO that lumbering oaf. Not only so Valuev could then **** off out of the HW scene but also if this is in Germany Haye will be facing the three judges aswell.
