Did you guys hear about a Golden Boy prospect that was scheduled to fight on the undercard but got mugged whilst out doing roadwork and had to pull out? :-(

Ramos, who was to face David Rodela in a scheduled 10-round bout, was not seriously hurt when he was reportedly jumped by three thugs while doing road work in his hometown of Santa Ana, Calif., according to his manager Frank Espinoza.

However, the undefeated lightweight prospect was roughed up enough to concern the physician who examined him on Tuesday night. Ramos, who was cut and bruised on his forehead, was advised not go through with the fight.

 

the GF doesn't deserve a RBR simply because it is filled with trolls and **** sockets who know jack about boxing

 

Ah, damn. Ramos is a good prospect. Not that we'd have gotten to see him anyway - but that still sucks about him getting accosted.

I'm frankly a little surprised he couldn't take care of three goons. Maybe my opinion of skilled little guys' ability to handle themselves against non-pros is just a bit unrealistically high.
