Do people assume its going be to a boxing match? Is that why people are talking Pavlik having 'the better skills' (even though Abraham can box, he's just very lazy).

All he needs is one-punch to change a fight, he's shown that on more than one occassion.

Abraham will TKO this pretender and then hopefully we`ll have heard enough of the Pavlik huggers.

This fight comes down to whether or not Pavlik uses his boxing ability.

Abraham is a prototypical slugger. He's a guy that doesn't like to move that much, will take punches to throw one, has limited boxing ability, and doesn't have the workrate for the most part to be an effective pressure fighter.

Abraham's gameplan is going to be the same for this fight as it is for almost every one of his fights. He will do exactly the same thing he did against Miranda the second time, unless Pavlik forces him out of his comfort zone, where Abraham comes foward and tries to be the aggressor, which is exactly what Kelly should do.

While Kelly isn't a master boxer, he does have the ability to box quite well when necessary, as he proved against top level opposition in his fight against Taylor, and I'm going to go ahead and assume that he's smart enough to have watched film on Abraham, and knows that the way to beat him is by outboxing him.

If you look at Abraham's options, you know that he's not going to be outboxing Pavlik because he doesn't have the ability, and Kelly doesn't fight in the same posture as Abraham anyway, and you know he's too stiff to come foward without leaving himself open and taking far more punishment that he's accustomed to.

So Abraham will do the same thing and hope that Pavlik charges him recklessly and at some point, Abraham has the opportunity to come out of his shell and batter Pavlik, which is definitely a possibility considering Pavlik is accustomed to knocking people out and moving foward, and Abraham has one punch KO power.

I'm going to go out on a limb though and say that Pavlik outboxes him and either knocks Abraham out late or wins a UD.

The better all around fighter with more skills though is Pavlik, so if Pavlik does get reckless and lose, he'll win the rematch by configuring a better gameplan and keeping Abraham on the outside.

Bingo! Abraham leaves his body open, and Pavlik is a murderous body puncher. That's what I've been saying. People compare Arthur's defense to Winky, but that comparison breaks down as soon as you look at arm length. Winky has extraordinarily long arms. That allows him to use the shell defense up high and still protect his body. Arthur has rather short arms, and leaves both sides of his body open.

wow, if that poll was before the Miranda-Abraham 2, the poll would be largely in favor of Pavlik easily...
now what? Abraham knock that overrated Miranda out and suddenly he beats Pavlik?

well he did beat miranda before KP. and if your saying EM was overrated i gues Kp win agianst him doesn't count:-( .

fact is they both beat miranda. AA beat him the 2nd time around more impressively. with out having to give him to much punishment.

its a close fight i just can't decide on yet

Kelly will control the fight with his jab. Establishing distance early on. Once the jab is working he will begin following up with right hands. Once that happens it is over for AA. AA punches in a roundhouse fashion. Kelly punches in a str8 line. He will beat AA to the punch all night. As for there common opponent... Kelly ruined Miranda. Miranda was undefeated and supremely confident when he fought Kelly and Kelly destroyed him physically and mentally. The Miranda that rematched AA was a shell of what he was when he first fought him. Kelly KO's the man that beat the man. PERIOD! There is no denying that. Anyone questioning Kellys power needs to re-watch his ko's. Those guys looked dead after he ko'd them. Pavlik al the way.
