 if you actually think Pavlik ca do anything to AA with his "murdorous bodypunches" you're in fore a rude awakening because you obviously know nothing about him.
No, people who know their **** knew before that AA easily has what it takes to knock Pavlik out. The Miranda fight was just a demonstration for a wider audience.

YOU might have mixed up Abraham's KO's with Pavlik's highlight reel b/c it's AA who sends people to sleep with 1 or 2 punches.

The last time I read both records it was Abraham's that offered far more "clean" KO's than Kelly's (I already see those guys calling me names be/c Kelly has the higher KO percentage - Yo, I am ready for ya!")

No doubt, Pavlik punches hard but still it's more about wearing people down (maybe destroying them) and out in comparison to AA's chin-checker bombs...

Not the first time we're on opposing sides, but one thing we do see eye to eye on is that this fight needs to happen.

I am surprised by the number of posters who seem to view this fight as primarily a contest between Pavlik's chin, and AA's power. I'm not saying you're one of them, but some people do seem to have a rather one dimensional view of this fight.

Pavlik has the higher KO ratio and a better resume. Now neither guy has what you would call a great resume, but KP has knocked out better opposition more often than Arthur. Arthur's habit of going to the ropes or a corner, along with his long periods of little activity, and leaving himself open to body shots, will result in Pavlik knocking him out inside 8 rounds. This is one of those fights that is going to show the differerence between a world class boxer, and a very good euro-champ in stark relief.

I have AA by ko. If PAv gets hurt at any point in the fight, he is finished. This could also a happen to AA if he is borken down by PAv round after round, but AA has been through the fire, and has not even gone down yet in a fight with a cracked jaw. I think AA is too defensive, and when Pav opens up to throw, AA has the faster hands, and I believe he can catch PAv clean as he opens up and ko's PAv.

AA doesn't leave his body open lol, and even if he did, so did Ali. Fighters would rather give up the body before the head anyway. AA has true power, something Winky never had. AA has been beating guys taller than him, so his short arms along with his defense are not a disadvantage to him at all. AA leaves his body open lol.

Abraham lives on lulling his opponents to sleep and then striking. He NEEDS them to make a mistake. Kelly will control the distance.

I am quite optimistic that the fight will take place in 2009. Pav himself said that this fight has to happen and we all know that Abraham definitely wants the fight, too.

@Boo Radley: How convinced (in percentage) are you that Pav will win the fight?

I'll give AA a 60% chance to win the fight by KO. In other words: Pav of course will have his chance, but I don't believe he can take AA's punches - simple as that. Against Marquez I see his chance for a KO by 80%.
