Kelly by UD. I just cant see anyway how Hopkins would use his roughouse tactics on Kelly since KP seems to be the stronger man. Plus Hopkins stamina would be an issue in this fight. As sad as it may seem since Im a Bernard fan, its almost inevitable that he would lose.

I see Hopkins trying to do more like Cotto did against Magrarito than he did against Cal. Any thoughts on this?

I'm glad there are still Pavlik doubters. It makes the victory that much sweeter. All these dumbasses that think Bernard is just too clever are forgetting that Kelly just got done handing 2 beatdowns to a guy by the name of Jermain Taylor who is much faster, and just as clever as Slopkins ever was and also by the way handed slopkins 2 beatdowns himself, then Slopkins ran to hide in a "safe" 175lb division with utterly no depth at the time..utter ****ing disgrace
This won't be close as Pavlik will crush Hopkins with surprising(to some) ease.
Then we get to hear these same dumbasses drone on about how "Hopkins was really shot before the fight."

No not even close. Bernard will try to ruin the fight by clinching, leading with his head and all sorts of bull**** as he knows he hasnt the energy, skill, power, or workrate, to accomplish what you speak of. That being said Pavlik will have a gameplan for Bernard and its not as tricky as some think, Pavlik will be active to the body and when Bernard comes in with his head Kellys left or right will come from underneath. Pavlik will also land much easier than some anticipate, mixing up his punches well and knowing when to step back and come underneath to avoid the clinch

Hopkins did a very limited version of Cotto with Calzaghe. He would get the one clean punch and clinch as Joe came forward. I just don't see Kelly meeting him halfway to let the clinches happen with the same frequency. I think Hopkins will be wary of his power early on and try to stick and run the best he can. Kelly's power will keep Hopkins backed off. Bhop will NOT want to be in range much.

Trust me Hopkins won't stay away to long:deal Pavlik will close the distance and hand out another dose of the whiplash treatment to an old sloppy has been. When Slopkins leans in to clinch expect Kelly to pop that chin up. Most important will be Kellys jab, it will be the foundation for this savage beatdown:good

Hopkins will be stopped for the 1st time. The reason is obvious.

But he will try to do it just like Cotto did. I'm just saying I don't think Bhop comes in with the same stratagy he did with Joe. People are looking for the same fight. I just don't think it will play out that way.

Please Hermit stop comparing Hopkins with Cotto, stylewise its really not close at all for the following reasons:

Cotto is extremely fast(hands and feet), more importantly Cotto doesnt know how or when to clinch(when he becomes stunned or hurt)

Bernards speed is mediocre(not what it used to be), and he RELIES on clinching as a means of strategy(truly disgusting)It's really quite amazing this is an accepted form of fighting despite the fact that its cheating and illegal!
I could see Bernard doing something similar like trying to fight in spurts and moving laterally however Bernard isnt half the althlete(anymore)Cotto is today nor for that matter Kelly Pavlik

Bernard will be KOd in a fight that won't be close

I thought for a moment that Bernard might be able to do what Campbell did against Diaz, but then realized that Hopkins isnt as agile or as slick as Campbell and unlike Diaz Pavlik can box quite well

I'm not saying they are the same. I'm just saying this is closer to the way I see Hopkins trying to make this fight. Everyone else thinks he uses the same game plan he had for Calzaghe. I don't think it will work against Pavlik.
