Not at all. I just see a present for the new golden boy of American boxing. The networks will be behind it.

Hopkins UD, i think people who are expecting another highlight reel KO by Pavlik are ignoring the fact that Pavliks power will be diminished and less devastating since he's moving up in weight. If Pavlik was to win this fight it would be on his workrate.

Pavlik benefits moving up in weight, I would expect. Pavlik is going to kill Hopkins, its another Holmes/Ali matchup. Please Hopkins, announce your retirement before the press conference on Tuesday

That would be painful to see a once undisputed Middleweight champion getting cut down by the current unified middleweight champion in a light heavyweight match.

Pavlik will come out hard and fast at the opening bell like he always does.
Hopkins will try to use his counter right, but Pavlik will be out of range most of the time.
In the first 3 or 4 rounds Pavlik will find Hops much harder to hit than any of his previous opponents, but he will catch him a few times.
Pavlik is very good at judging and controling distance, and he probably enjoys a significant arm length advantage. He'll work hard at boxing from the outside.
Hopkins will get Pavlik in a few clinches and rough him up a bit here and there.
By the 6th or 7th round BHop will be running on empty, but Pavlik will just be hitting his full stride.
By round 8 Hopkins will be out of gas, and Pavlik will find a home for the double jab and the right hand.
In rounds 9 and 10 Pavlik will bounce Hopkins around the ring like a little kid bouncing one of those red rubber balls around the play ground. Pavlik KO10 Hopkins.

Joudging by Hops last fight he cant go 12 rounds at pace. Pavlik should be able to take advantage of that and win enough rounds to take a decision.

    It wont be pretty though.

As this will involve no belts, is it safe to assume it will be 10 rounds.

(The shorter the fight, the better for Bernard).

Has this been confirmed? I've seen on BoxRec that it is a scheduled 12 rounds thus far.

No it will be 12 rounds. Taylor-Pavlik and Calzaghe-Hopkins were both catch weight fights and both of them were 12 rounders.

This fight will be no different.

Just no belts since middleweight champ Pavlik is fighting above the 160 limit and Hopkins lost his LHW Ring title to Calzaghe, who is defending it against RJJ.
