Official Kelly PAVLIK vs. Bernard HOPKINS Thread - Who wins?

pavlik by ud - bernard will start off well countering pavlik, controlling the pace, basically fighting his fight. but he'll tire and pavlik will outwork him to get a close, controversial decision.

 

Pretty much how i see it. It's going to be ugly. Although i do envision a scenario where Pavlik overwhelms Hopkins in the later rounds if father time has really set in and he's got nothing left.

 

Hopkins by UD ..Pavlik's 1 2 style is taylor made for the Executioner !!

 

that's definitely a possibility right now. he faded pretty badly against calzaghe and if pavlik invests in a good body attack early, we might see b-hop stopped for the 1st time late in the fight. i hope not though.

 

Hopkins is certainly capable of winning an ugly UD even at the age of 43; however, I'm going with Pavlik by late stoppage. Fighters that hang on too long have a tendency of getting a reality check in the form of a bad ko defeat. I don't think just anyone is capable of stoppage B-Hop but the young, hard punching Pavlik certainly is.

Just a gut feeling.
