Calzaghe was Kesslers biggest fight so of course it's the one people remember most and he lost so you could say he's remembered for loosing to Calzaghe, but he was WBA and WBC champ going into the fight and looked like he was about to clean out the division. If some people weren't paying attention to him before Calzaghe that doesn't mean he was **** and doing **** all. There's no point playing some Punch and Judy style 'Oh yes it is' - 'Oh no it isn't' **** about how strong SMW is just now but I'd say it's easily the strongest of the weights above welterweight and got more depth than a lot of them below that too. There's even talk of Pavlik and Dawson moving there to get big fights because there are none at MW or LHW for them. What weights would you say are stronger right now?
Being in a stonger weight alone dont make you a good fighter, fighting those fighters is what makes you a good fighter, and to this point Kessler hasnt done that. Maybe not his fault, but it dont change the fact that he is fighting second tier fighters since Calzaghe, and even admitted that the lost took alot out of him and he needed time away. I think that it took alot of confidence away from him and he needed some soft touches, and is blaming it on Palle. I may not be right but that is what I think.
A foreigner? To me (and to most other ESB members) YOU are the foreigner, Louis the Bold (given your post and your name, I guess you are 7-9 years old. 11 is stretching it.
Kessler hasn't done that? Mundine was no. 3 in the Ring when they met. Andrade was no. 5 in the Ring when they met. Beyer was no. 4 in the Ring when they met. Calzaghe was no. 1 in the Ring when they met. Siaca was no. 4 in the Ring when they met. Kessler didn't meet no. 2 in the Ring, bcause that was himself! Noone else has met everyone in top 5 the Ring at the time of the fights - NOONE! And out of those the two toughest opponets where on foreign soil. Tell us who else you know was unified World Champion and met the two highest ranked opponents overseas? Soft touches my ass....
Come on Joe your better then that..Siaca was a bum that lucked into a title belt. Im not going to go down you list, but we both know those werent very good fighters except Beyer who was decent and Andrade who is also decent, but he lost to Calzaghe..Mundine??? who is that???
Just get the **** out. We see better trolls than you around here every day. You aren't funny, you aren't clever, hell, you aren't even able to conjure up a decent argument. We heard that "robot" argument 3 years ago, and the guy beat the **** out of everyone bar Calzaghe. Sure, he's no SRL, but there is MUCH worse belt holders out there than Kessler, and if you can't content yourself with that then I suggest you find yourself another sport to follow.
The point is - it not MY list. It is the Ring rankings at the time of the fights. More objective than what you or I think about the fighters. Fact of the matter is that Kessler fought the highest ranked fighters out there and two of them he had to go abroad to fight.
I hope gets away from palle after the next fight.Kessler needs and deserves bigger fights than Palle is capable of delivering.
I will have be opening the champagne when I hear some good news on Kessler regarding his promoter/court/opponent/Palle dieing. It's very demoralising being a fan these days...crumbs of comfort is the best we seem to get.
A decent SMW. Kessler's resume isn't amazing but we don't need to downgrade what few names he DOES have.
I'd say "above average" is more appropriate... Yes, Montreal. My syntax and word usage suggests I'm that young....that Bute sure is a world beater btw....lol That's another thing I've learned throughout my years online...is that when someone uses the "What are you? 10?." age insult on someone it's obvious is a grown, intelligent adult....that they...are insecure about their own age and knowledge.... Ain't that right, kid? Look at this one...lol...acting like beating a bunch of C fighters in the 168 wasteland was a big deal...... and you know....what I'm doing isn't called "trolling"....it's called shoving the facts in your faces, and you not being able to handle it...
Don't bother replying to that poster. It's a troll account, made by a dysfunctional ******. Just add to the ignore list and enjoy.
Objectively, it's a good list. The problem is that it isn't filled with household names. Objectively, it's reasonable to assume that he is the best fighter in the division. The problem is he isn't out there proving it. Here's hoping that he manages to get some more fights in the next year. Kessler has never shown any lack of courage or cherrypicking. If he starts fighting again, and gets to choose his opponents, I figure we will all see soon enough if he is the best in the division or not. Even if he isn't the best, he would probably add to the depth of an exciting division. Which aint a bad thing either.
OK, Louis the Strong - where do you rank Kessler among all fighters from 160-168 (Kessler has said that he could make 160 and that he will not consider 175 until several years down the track)? Let us just have the 10 highest ranking that you rank above Kessler in what is generally seen as one of the best and probably THE deepest division. If there are less than 10, then just list the ones you rank above Kessler in a head-to-head fight. If you can't do this - then obviously you are just trolling.
