I always worry at the capabilities of fight officials when it appears that they can't transcribe judges cards correctly, its grist to the conspiracy theorists mill. All official paperwork pertaining to the fight should be made available post fight, without exception.

Fact of the matter is that if this fight had been held in the UK with Khan the home fighter there would have been uproar....two US judges and a yank ref does not look good. All officials should be completely neutral, at least all we have to worry about then would be corruption rather than just home town bias AND corruption.

Well the ref was good, and the outcome was good, so the judges got it right...
But yes your right it should be neutral but this wasnt no robbery..

You are the one solitary individual on here today who has used the "G" word to describe the ref...he was a complete shambles. If that had been IJL or Uncle Dave in there last night we would have been shouting "bent" from the rooftops

Ive just watched it, and I have it to Peterson 114 -113, Khan has only himself to blame, the constant pushing down of Petersons head, and the headlocking with his left arm could have led to more points being took off, my scores are Khan first Peterson second 10-8, 10-9, 9-10, 9-10, 10-9, 10-10, 8-10 (point took off for Khan) 9-10, 10-9, 10-10, 9-10, 9-9 ( point took off for Khan ), a great fight to watch, really enjoyed it, and would pay PPV for a rematch if need be

    The ref was spot on.

Two things are obvious to me 1) khan had completely looked beyond peterson. 2) peterson has a lot more tools in his box than given credit for.

Khan had plenty of warnings that he admits he heard. I felt exactly the same as mcguigan did; khan is on thin ice with his persistant fouling and is about to be deducted again.

The ref's call on the first knockdown was also spot on.

As for the judges, rewarding khan's running tactics down the stretch would have been a total shame.

My opinion is the right man won. Maybe khan has more talent but on the night he was clearly not the better man.

Khans point deductions did it for me. BUT LETS not diminish Petersons fight he faught out of his skin and he showed and boxed with authority and Khan didn't know how to deal with the constant pressure he just faught in bursts but sustained pressure and clean shots were peterson. I don't think DEEP DOWN khan knows peterson gave him a great fight and he probably lost on the cards.

Ref was spot on, he did nothing wrong!!! He was much better then Cortez in the hatton vs mayweather fight. Khan was warned enough times

i had it 1 point to Peterson and that was generous to the close rounds to Khan as when i re-watched the fight i actually think Peterson landed the more flush/quality punches.

I don't think this was a robery Khan just got found out today he was not as good as he thinks he is.
